Vintage Holden 80W Custom - 2 x KT88

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this is the right area to be posting this, but I'm selling my baby, cos I have another baby on the way (an actual, real baby...) Loved this amp, but my gigging relies on my Blues Deville and my house is too small to play this monster in... Anyone with any info or insights on...

So I found one at Auckland Engineering Supplies in Beaumont St. 150mm long with imperial measurements in 64ths at the tip. Great. $21.

With the current exchange rate I'm off to get me a StewMac - has all sorts of other goodies ...

Re: 64th ruler

Wow - that StewMac thing looks great.

Question - do NZ luthiers work in metric or imperial? I ask, because everything you find on the net about setting up action etc talks about doing it around 4/64ths of an inch.

64th ruler

Hi all, Can anyone advise where to get a quality imperial/metric metal ruler with 64ths of an inch measurements located at the tip? I have tried Bunnings and Mitre 10 and they have 150mm (6") ones, but the 64ths are in the middle of the ruler, which is useless for measuring string height agains...

Re: True bypass loop & pedalboard

Sounds like I need to talk to Ryan then...

The other guitarist in our band has a pedal train, which admittedly looks quite good.

Also that power module (VoodooLab?) sounds like the treat.

Thanks for suggestions - keep em coming.

True bypass loop & pedalboard

Hi all, I'm having conniptions with my pedalboard and need to upgrade soon. I run about 6 pedals at the moment (off my boss TU-2 as a power supply), but could ideally add a few more - maybe up to 10. One of them would be an Ibanez AD-80 which runs off an 18V supply. I thought the time had come to em...

Re: Cables

Cool - Thanks for all your suggestions - might buy a cheap 10 buck set to sort out the order that I need and then upgrade to decent stuff. I also have a strange little doodacky in my kit, which is essentially 2 jack plugs (wired / glued / soldered?) together - no cable involved and is really good fo...

What are the best patch cables and guitar cables to use?

I'm redesigning my pedal board and I need to update my patch and input/output cables so as not to compromise tone...

Thanks for all your replies - some good info there. Re: Unique's comment If I read your query right you're saying that the 1980 335 is worth less than the new price? If so go the new price - be better for insurance. Its a good point, but what I was more referring to was the 'retail' price of a simil...

Valuing a Gibson 335 in NZ

Hi all, I just purchased a beautiful 1980 Gibson ES335 TD in Walnut, all stock original, including coil tap and trapeze tailpiece, tuners, block inlays and case. I just rang my insurance company to get it specified under my home and contents and they have suggested that I get a valuation on it. Can ...

Hi there, Anyone know where I can get those sets with the little plates (like figure of 8's) and corresponding grub screws that you can use to fix your effects pedals to the board of your fx case? You undo the screws at the bottom 4 corners of your pedal, add a fig-of-8 plate, screw it back, and the...

No problems. Shame it didn't get up to quite what I thought it might be worth, but hell, lets all move on and be friends. More space for the Deville, the 800 and the Silverface Twin Reverb that someone is going to sell to me for an equal pittance in the future. Come on crystal ball ... Someone out t...
