Re: sub 50w 1x12 combo..
Excellent point, I was planning on buying second hand, but might rethink that, I wouldn't want to contribute to amp extinction.
I forgot about those little laneys, the cub12 and cub12r are now officially added to the list.
Now to sell that damned jansen

I could probably pull that much $$ together for the Rivera but I think it'd be wasted on me, I'd be paying for features I'd never use.

sub 50w 1x12 combo..
I know it's been done to death but I can't seem to find any results via search.. So I've decided to ditch my giant, heavy, loud Jansen Bass 50 head and 2x12 cab in favour of a smaller lower wattage combo.. basically all I need is: 1x12 2 or preferably 3 band eq. reverb would be nice but not necessar...

Re: floyd saddle replcement question
Cheers heaps for all the advice iv put the ST3 in for a refret as the frets were extremely worn so hopefully this cures most of the problems i was having I hope it's not with the same guy....He really should of told you the worn frets (and subsequent string length shortening..) caused the saddles t...

Re: floyd saddle replcement question
what string gauge and tuning are you using?
I'd guess extreme fret wear, incorrect bridge placement or a bad set up are the cause...don't treat the symptom find the cause

Re: Bass nerds!
Thickness <> tension. No, but when I've broken a string, I notice that thick strings (even on guitar) just sit there, while it's the higher pitched strings that really snap. I'd say that's a function of mass and elasticity....especially as the tensions on each string are pretty close. .

Re: Bass nerds!
get a 4 string bass and 5 string strings. You can get the low end range of a 5 without all the negative conotations that come with owning a 5   Have often wondered about this. Is it much more strain on the neck? I assume you're asking is a 4 string tuned BEAD putting more stress on the ...

Re: Slide in standard tuning
So silly question,..but, if I tune to G, I can play all the chords, but will be re learning the chord placements on the neck? Yep.. The easiest way to 're learn' chord placements is to remember the root is on the g string... ie a barring with the slide at the 8th fret will be an Eb chord as the 8th...

Re: Calling all M5/9/13 users..
Yeah, I saw Lawrence's board, it's great but not for me. It appears there's only one delay/verb/mod/pitch/ect setting for each patch? ie if you want slapback delay you need the patch with that which may or may not have the drive/verb/mod/ect sound you want with your slapback.... also, you couldn't a...
