Re: Design a mind blowing guitar...
Personally the ESP/LTD F-series is modern to me. http://www.guitar.com.au/guitars/electric/esp/guitars_f.htm I know. Someone is going to yell GOTH! I like them. I play a LTD F204 bass in church. I would like a F series guitar with a floyd rose. My kid would suggest that modern guitars should have so...

Re: Buying a cheap amp
Nicholas (my 9 year old) uses a Epi Goth SG, usually through a Digitech Death Metal pedal to a VOX AD30VT. Recently he's been using just the SG through a Roland Cube-15 and one of the distortion modes on it (the heaviest distortion one of course), apparently it was pretty loud and during some of his...

It took 2 months the last time. 3 Computers in bits, but that is...

Re: wanting guitar body
Guitarparts (http://www.guitarparts.co.nz) has some affordable tele and strat bodies at the moment. Won't have the wonderful sound of plywood though Funny how the 2 guitars that my son and I play most have plywood bodies (a korean Squier Strat and a Korean Ibanez RX20)

Re: Ibanez Montage Acoustic Electric Hybrid
 From what I've seen in Vegas alone, there's probably about 8000 guys who will buy something like this guitar. They play hotel suite cocktail partys, small bars, weddings, bar-mitzvahs, divorces, trade show after parties, conference luncheons and Celine Dion's bi-annual romantic dinner before ...

Re: Strat headtsock
Fender the wrong way round reads redneF .... there is a theory that the tuners at the bottom of the headstock gets greater gravity pull (which frustrates Mr Malmsteen greatly, thus the smashed up strats of his)

But, most likely

Re: 7 string guitars
Ibanez, S series S7320. I haven't played it, I can only just handle 6 strings ... if it is anything like my 9 year old's S470 .. the ZR trem is awesome. Its mahogany, black stain ... just right for your son. Not cheap, but with a Floyd you'd want to avoid the cheap ones anyway.
