Re: Amp stand for head+cab?
I have managed this by having the cab on the tilt stand and moving the head forward until the rubber feet just hang over the front of the cab. Head stays on. Looks a bit naff.

Re: That R7 goldtop on trademe
I think opsguy has an AST Pro...4 x 6V6 maybe? I remember hearing that waaayyyy back and thinking "that's the new benchmark". I have had an AST, that was very cool so the Pro would be stunning, It really needed the nite lite attenuator though. I had the SST30 with matching cab, just epic,...

Re: That R7 goldtop on trademe
So you're saying it's not just me who found it strangely attractive? Tweed & Gold.JPG I keep thinking the AST Pro would have done me…I had the 5w Swart that sounded amazing but couldn’t keep up with a practice level band. 20w will though I think opsguy has an AST Pro...4 x 6V6 maybe? I reme...

That looks great. I don’t mind the white piping tbh but gold is cool. Very tempted to buy!

Re: Taking a guitar to and from Australia: Any CITES issues ?
I have just moved 20 or so guitars and basses from Melbourne to Auckland. Most through a shipping company and a couple as luggage on Air New Zealand. Lots of rosewood. No issues at all. No questions about what type of wood etc It seemed as if it wasn’t even on the radar for customs anymore.

They are cool. I saw them on Tuesday night in Melbourne. Well worth the effort if you can get a ticket.

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
Cheers all. I am really pleased with it. It is better to play standing up, sitting down it sits well forward. Not a major issue but quite different to the P bass. I see Sweetwater have stock again, a couple of demo’s also. Dibs duly noted Kev!

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
This turned up yesterday. Gibson Non Reverse Thunderbird in Faded Pelham Blue. Great build quality. My first Thunderbird bass so feels very different to the Jazz and Precision. Smaller headstock and hipshot light tuners limit neck dive. Long reach to the first fret though! IMG_3455.JPG IMG_3456.JPG

Re: The Kemper Thread
I use a Line 6 powercab at home. The few gigs I did with it as per Oleg's suggestion- direct to line 6 Stagesource PA with Line 6 L2T as a foldback. As an aside an L2T for home use is good as well.

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
Nice BG. I have been spending some time on bass, decided to learn how to play when I was stuck in Melbourne. Needed a break from guitar. Back in Melbourne now. Other basses are hidden.....900w Darkglass amp and stack, cause you need that in an apartment. Sandberg VM4. Neighbours hate me. 77C3838B-D...
