Re: What don't you like about Guitars?
I love everything about guitars, I just don't like or should I say am not satisfied what I do with them in my hands sometimes.

Re: Jammed a couple covers, Purple Haze and Possum Kingdom
sty I think I got it from guitarbackingtrack site. I was gonna do Hendrix " Wind cries Mary" and a couple others this week but met some guys looking to start a band and they gave me a list of 10 songs to learn by Sunday for the first jam together so I have to focus on that instead. I swear...

Re: Jammed a couple covers, Purple Haze and Possum Kingdom
Hello BG how are you? Hope everything is well with everybody here. Use headphones probably better that way but no fancy recording anyway like I said, just raw and live mistakes and all. One thing though my phase with Mesa is over, back to Marshall I tried to with that Mesa but it was always buzz saw...

Friends of mine bands
Last couple weekends I caught some friends of mine playing out with the cam recorder. You may have to lower your volume or it might sound distorted the camera doesn't capture high volume too well. Rocky from Diamond Gray is using a Marshall valvestate and Johnny from Lost n Found is using a Marshall...

I'd be much better if my mind didn't wander toward that....as much. That and the internet.

Re: How many hours a day do you practice?
I don't practice at all any more. Half the time these days the only real playing time I get is at band practice, and when you're playing boring covers it's probably as bad as no practice at all. Which clearly manifested itself in the deep funk (not the good kind) that my playing has been in. I'm tr...

Re: How many hours a day do you practice?
Not surprising seeing the replies that a job has a huge factor in being motivated to practice. Sometimes I come home so tired that twanging away in bed while I watch a movie is all I do. But I generally do 2 hours a day sometimes more depending, sometimes forcing myself even when I'm tired. I quit p...

Yep. But a pain to re-string though, time consuming. I use the Elixer strings which besides sounding good to me, last a lot longer than conventional strings.

Re: 12 stringers?
Thanks to Matt I got a great deal on said 12 string, picked it up today and while my girly 9-42 playing fingers are sore, my ears definitely are not! Now, to use it for something other than Wanted Dead or Alive     after playing mine for half an hour, I have to 'look' ...

Re: 12 stringers?
Takamini G-series would be a good bet for ya money...and they look and sound great. I agree. I am a fan of Alvarez acoustics but when I tried this Takamine it went home with me. Considering price along with quality it is really good. I play it sometimes, not as much as the 6 stringers but when I do...

Looking through the thread I am seeing some pedals that I have no clue what they are about or what they do which does make want to know just in case.....
Re: 2011 GAS
I might get a different amp, but the only other thing I have been wanting though it isn't really that important is a Gibson double neck so I can play Hotel California and Wanted dead or alive the right way. :P  :o No live Stairway version??? Yeah that too. Although the 12 string part shouldn...

Re: 2011 GAS
I'm Gasing to not be gasing, but it looks this will be another year I drop big bucks trying to acheive my desired rig and tone. Frankly I 'd rather use the money elsewhere for a change, like my house or the dentist, or a real vacation out of the U.S.A. I might not have a choice with the dentist. :oo...
