String gauge - does size matter?
I was referred to this vid by Kiwiaxe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGXj_NQONYM Really enlightening. I have always used 9s on my Stat and 10s on my tele. 1050s on the Duesenberg, and the LP has 1052s on it. So a _wide_ range of gauges. Kiwiavxe and Rick Beato reckon that 942s (or even 838s) are t...

Re: Price Check: Gibson LP Custom 2012 Red Wine w Bareknuckles
So I BOUGHT it!
He's a top chap and previously listed it for $2.8k on TM and $2.6k on FBMP, then dropped to $2.35k.
It's heavy at 4.6kg = 10.14lbs, but I think I didn't weigh it correctly.
It certainly doesn't feel like a 10 pounder.
Anways, I appreciate the comments from you fine folk.
Thank you.

That’s insanely good. Wow.
Doesn’t beat the Kemper for profiling and patch storage but what a great gigging device for the odd pub or charity gig!

Send it to your home as “personal effects”, i.e. your pre-owned item that you’re shipping “home” and you may be lucky.
Make sure the sender has no eBay reference in the packaging.
It comes down to the paperwork.
If Customs chase you for proof of purchase, then roll the dice ...

Re: Boaz One Modular Guitar
I love this concept. I admire innovation. I think back to struggling with Strandberg's and now THIS!
Great price point.
And it'd really test good players as "it's all in the picking and way you hold the guitar. SRV"

Re: Alternate tunings
Tuned my Acoustic to dadgad, kinda cool how tolerant of changing tunings they are... I'm well into DADGAD at the moment, albeit down half a step (C#G#C#F#G#C# doesn't roll off the tongue quite so easily though :problem: ) Interesting! What are you playing in that tuning? I like hw you’ve used Slash...
