Re: Help with an AB+Y switching box please

Re: New Strymon on the way soon.
. Been very keen to try to Tech21 Boost DLA. Do Rockshop stock 'em? I used the Boost DLA until I traded it for a looper. It's a great delay, and the fact you can alter the delay tone and add flutter (modulation) are great features. Just be aware if you're after dotted eighths this one won't do them...

What are you gassing for?
Interesting. Does it have a three way switch for the three pickups so no in- between sounds? Huge might be ok for me, I'm not petite myself ![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Like everybody's guitar sound but my own...
One problem with electric tones is that many of the sounds that work unaccompanied don't work in a band. Conversely a lot of great band/live tones are pretty unsatisfying by themselves (thin or harsh as they have to cut through etc). Acoustic doesn't have the same issues for me.

Re: Like everybody's guitar sound but my own...
Been a long time, but I remember seeing an interview with Sammy Hagar and as part of it he plugged in EVH's guitar and amp and did a couple chords, and it sounded crap. He said "you have to be Eddy to make it sound like Eddy". A lot of our sound is in the playing, not the gear. It must be ...

Radial X-amp just arrived. Bit of a spur of the moment thing. Now I can pretend I have enough time to use it.

Quartz Timer
That's pretty cool. Good for situations a little mor sophisticated than what I'm used to. We've only used clicks where drummer sends audible click from iphone to in ears. But the presets would be good

It may be a gross generalisation, but I find Jazz live is normally great, but recorded quite often seems to lose something.

Re: NGD - Yairi
Nice. My main acoustic is a Yairi - from the 90s. I had it refretted due to wear, but that's the only real work it has ever needed. Pretty much stopped looking at acoustics once I got it, which is always a good sign,

Sounds more realistic than nabbing an amazing deal in the music shop micro-visits I might fit in.sizzlingbadger wrote:I would advise a good hot curry and a pint of Fullers finest ale whilst in London.
