I play Saxaphone, Piano and Guitar and I would say the guitar would be the hardest to master (not that i've mastered any of them :P) I've been playing guitar and practise almost daily but I only play the piano once or twice a week but I consider my piano skills more advanced than my guitar skills. M...

I've become a master of the quick string change. Guitar world can an article last year some time about how to change a string in under a minute. Some times it doesn't work out properly and end up too many/too few windings, but I can live with that.

. Actually most surprising is I was learning a solo the other day for like 3 hours (i have nothing better to do, honestly) and i didn't get it. Slept over it, woke up and i'd learnt it. Magic! I often do that, practise something and then sleep over it. Apparently if you think about something (like ...

Nah. It does have that sorta hum, but theres also another hum. It's probably the shielding on the single coils, because when I flick on the humbucker then it stops.

Hmm just reading that again. Do I need to solder my ground wire to the shielding? and if so... My guitar has individual pick up cavitys (not the big cavity like in a strat) will i need to connect all of shielding up. I think on that site everything is connected through the pickgaurd, but i don't hav...

How shielded is fully shielded? I think I did all the pick up cavitys, and maybe the electronics cavity. (I can't remember).

Bet the actual artists are going wtf...and it will be the MBA pimple faced boys in the offices in Sony BMG, Atlantic, etc etc going...right, let's slap some lawsuits around. Yeah I think most artists don't agree with it. If you go to Brian Mays website http://www.brianmay.com in his soapbox, he has...

Nope, that means the tone pot is working properly. The tone pot drags high frequency signal to ground through the capacitor, so when you turn it down it can drag the hum to zero too.... Chances are you need some more thorough sheilding than is already there and perhaps some earth re-wiring. It's ju...

Buzzing Tone Pot

Hey guys. I was playing today, and my guitar was doing a bit of buzzing (it's only cheap so thats to be expected) but I noticed that if I turn my tone knob all the way down the buzzing stops. Does this mean something is wrong with the tone pot? Or is something else wrong, and turning down the tone j...

I find this all interesting Because talking to guys 5 or 8 odd years older than me, they always say that there has never been a doubt in their mind that they would get a strat and they love it And talking to you guys you love them too Talk to people more around my age and they'll tend (and this is ...
