As far as I know they are made in the same factory as the Squier Classic Vibes and share the same heavy laqued neck as the Classic Vibes. I haven't played any of the Modern Players but the build quality on the Classic Vibes IMO was overall better than a lot of the MIM Standard guitars. I must say th...

I use the Planet Waves classic series (just because I'm cheap haha)
for roughly $6 a cable you can't really gone wrong, they are a lot more durable than the coloured cables. they've never failed me.

I have a Fender Mini Tonemaster which was a bargain trademe purchase, I'm not very impressed by it, it's more of a novelty item tbh. I have heard very good things about the Vox amplugs though
