Re: What are you learning?

No wonder he's always so smiley in his videos. Do you think I can get a cut as I'm using him as my avatar? Mate, a friend of mine was telling me the Guitar Mastery Method guy was leasing one of his buildings in Napier, says the dude rocked up in a brand new Lamborghini one day. They were yarning an...

Mate, a friend of mine was telling me the Guitar Mastery Method guy was leasing one of his buildings in Napier, says the dude rocked up in a brand new Lamborghini one day. They were yarning and the guy was like "yeah I'm making so much money it's hard to know what to do with it". Nice wor...

Re: What are you learning?

Had a look at the website. It doesn't state the cost until you sign up for a free trial? What is the cost of a subscription? About $50 NZD a month, less if you buy a year at once :-) No wonder he's always so smiley in his videos. Do you think I can get a cut as I'm using him as my avatar? Mate, a f...

Re: NGD: DC Pro

Yeah I'm kinda surprised it went for what I'd consider a steal. I reckon that always depends on the seller, and what they're prepared to accept to move something on. Plenty of good guitars without a big name on the headstock that don't stir up a lot of demand, means you can still get a bargain.

Re: Artificial Intelligence and Music

I have read a few posts (so anecdote more than data) about movie extras signing away the rights to their likeness, so they can be digitally scanned and reused in any movie in perpetuity. Might be only a matter of time before that moves beyond extras. That was a big part of what was happening with th...

Art is as much about the artist as it is about the the art. Artificial is not the real thing.

Re: Artificial Intelligence and Music

The more useful applications will be the ones that are trained on more constrained, better curated sets of source material, then pointed at specific use cases. The more general AI just has too many opportunities to go rogue. Imagine how confused it would be if all you gave it was ACDC albums ...

Re: Artificial Intelligence and Music

I think it's more that ChatGPT etc has skewed the story about what it is, what it could be useful for, and how it needs to be implemented. But you have the dual issue of it being sold as a magic box that does everything, so that's what uneducated business people want it to be, so we'll see lots of t...
