Mine was pretty average, til the trem on it started playing up, it wouldn't stay in tune for more than like 5 seconds

Hmmm...Theres allways Washburn, some of their cheap gutiars are good quality.
The X-12 is perhaps the nicest guitar I own, I bought it for around $400 or $500.

Whatever you do, don't get an Ibanez GIO, horrible gutiar.

I just ordered a Dean ML 79 from the rockshop... then a problem struck me. What sort of hardcase would fit it in? I was trhinknig a Rockcase Explorer case or a coffin case might do the trick. But I'd hate to order the wrong case. Does anybody actually know from experience, which cases would fit it? ...

I wouldn't call their songs very long though, the longest Tool song is under 20 minutes, pretty good stuff though, allthough I wouldn't call it very "dark".
