Yeah the whole 'poly' finish thing makes it sound simpler than it is. Polyester and polyurethanes will generally require different solvents, indeed different polyurethanes may not share a common solvent and some are thermoplastic while others aren't. In the realm of 2k1. If you don't need to be able to move your saw between job sites things like this are much better value than the likes of DeWalt (around 1k5 for their good one) as they sacrifice a lot to stay portable. In my experience IR changes within a song are pretty sonically discombobulating and best to be avoided anyway, I'm pretty sure anyone who's run a FOH desk will agree too :lol: The upshot being that I don't think you really lose anything by not having midi recall, both units would allow an IR change ...
