I did not notice the WRHB earlier, was on my phone. I need to hear this guitar.

Re: Valves in pedals that run on low voltage...hype?

I have some pedals here that use valves in the circuit to gain boost the audio signal through them. They typically have 12VDC PSUs. I've read about 'starved plate' designs in pedals that incorporate valves and there is some argument as to the effectiveness of these designs to the point of the valve...

Re: Valves in pedals that run on low voltage...hype?

If you already have a decent tube amp, do you really need more tube 'colour' in your signal chain? I've only really tried tube overdrive, not any other tube pedals, so I don't know the answer. But I think it is an interesting question. I think Tube tremelo might be an actual thing.. Indeed it is, b...

This is one I admire, that I was just listening to. It has it all, interesting chord changes, interesting time, very different sections: November--Dominic Miller.

Re: Show Us Your Guitar

Here's my new guitar. Swamp Ash body, flamed roasted maple neck. Light mahogany stain on the body. Usa pickups labeled '93. Also the wenge neck broke on the other guitar so have installed it with a new maple neck with rosewood fretboard. https://i.imgur.com/sLVt5uw.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/Zlh9eEv....

The Carr Slant 6 is my all time favourite amp—but only based on demos and Kemper profiles…I’ve never even seen one in real life :-(

Re: What's your favourite modern low gain tube amp?

Looking for opinions on best/favourite low gain modern (or at least modern in the sense of tube amps) ... Im thinking the sort of amp you can plug into and enjoy some creamy rich compressed overdrive, but pull back to clean with touch sensitivity alone. I know there are great options in terms of vi...

Re: The Kemper Thread

What even is Liquid Profiling? As much as I like JBs answer, I'll give you the proper one. They've digitally recreated tonestacks and circuits for a heap of amps so that when you adjust the gain, B M T etc on a profile, it reacts realistically to how an amp actually would. Or something like that I ...

I really wish I hadn't seen this on TM. :(
If it helps, it doesn’t seem to be there anymore.
Thanks. It helps.
Also, it is not an LV10, it is a parlor. Nice guitar, but no it won't keep up with your Lowden. An LV10 might though :-). We can test that theory if you like 8)

Re: The Acoustic Thread

Let's see how polarising this one can be. Has anyone played an all rosewood acoustic? My D-03 is extremely delicately constructed, an incredibly light guitar. I can't imagine this one would be light! I guess it depends if "All Rosewood" includes the neck too. The tone is definitely not my...
