Re: Guitar prices: what's the sweet spot?

I have owned quite a few cheap and expensive guitars over the years and price doesn't guarantee anything. I set myself some boundaries a while back to not spend big on guitars anymore. I have 2 cheap-ish guitars at present, a Gretsch G5220 which I bought new for $1200, and a Sire T7 which I got as ...

That definitely has an “if it sounds as good as it looks it’ll be amazing” vibe!

Re: Baritone Madness

I can’t speak highly enough of mine- Squier Paranormal Cabronita Baritone: FC90B654-D8BA-4D94-9791-98FCDF2A6EBA.jpeg Not cheap here, but not horrendous either. Not as cool a colour, but seems reasonably priced? https://www.musicmachine.co.nz/product/squier-paranormal-baritone-cabronita-telecaster-s...

Similar, gassing for my casino from isibashi to arrive before I go away for three weeks next week! Anyone have experience with how long they normally take? It’s been about 2.5 weeks so far.

Re: What are you gassing for?

Its the name on the headstock that puts off most people sadly. It was always that godawful shape of the Epi headstock that put me off. On a les paul it looks weird as they are so iconic but on a casino I think it looks really cool, I'm sure some of it is what we're used to seeing too. Yeah I am anx...

Re: What are you gassing for?

Bloody inflation. My 2013 standard at $2k (maybe $2.2?) new seems a long ago bargain. QC was good on that though. My special however, binding was filed off by someone with Parkinson’s I’m guessing. Absolutely shocking. But… I still love it, it’s a rock’n’roll machine!

Re: Recommendation: medium-sized Marshall

Could you do something like this on a whatever 1X12 cab that you can score, and would it be able to push a 4X12 if you eventually played out?

Re: Show us your pedalboard

That's the one frustrating thing about the ES5: no stereo capability. Would be great to be able to run a stereo delay through one of the loops, and to be able to use different ODs for each amp in each patch. Dialling in a pedal for the Cali Tweed seldom gives the perfect settings for the Deluxe Rev...

Re: Tone Seekers - Your Personal Best Tone

That mustang micro sounds nice to me It annoys me how good it sounds. I like the PG spark for the tone matching and play along stuff it does with the app, but the mustang sounds way better to me. Likewise I have an iRig pro into Ipad amplitube that is good for recording and messing around, but stil...
