Hey 1964, Thanks for looking and reading the referred sites. Interesting comments. Worth some discussion. At least, I may learn more too. > “These seem to be considered the ideal choice for this amp and Bluesbreakers.” >> This is such a subjective choice that the only ideal is for the individual...

I found the list of biits done to my JTM45. Had 34 Audio do a bunch of stuff to make the amp sound closer to a '60s original. Fitted Valve Arts KT66s to replace the stock 5881s. These seem to be considered the ideal choice for this amp and Bluesbreakers. They cost $72 bucks each which I'd say is pre...

I've recently had my JTM45 (early re-issue) set up with 6l6s. Virtually the same amp. They normally come with 5881s which sounded good but the 6L6s have given it a more lush (?) tone. Can't find the word I'm looking for but I think it suits the amp better. I can't remember what type went in it but I...

Don't totally agree with it but like it nevertheless. Had a look at your bands website. That guitar you're holding in th...

Good score sopachrga. There is almost no info around about the old NZ made amps. Or at least it's damn hard to find any. I remember when I was starting out in the mid '70s the shops had tons of Jansen, Gunn and Holden amps. Jansen were like the NZ Fender. Gunn and Holden were sorta more like Marshal...
