Re: UAFX Lion Safari!

I don’t notice any at all, Warren. Remembering two of them are time based so kind of render themselves invisible perhaps. YMMV. :) Thanks, that's good to know. I have the OX Stomp myself so just running that in line after my Suhr load on the way to the interface. Still feels pretty snappy. Modern A...

Do you notice any detectable latency with all 3 UAFX pedals on? I believe each is just under 3ms.

Re: UAFX Lion Safari!

Have you used any other modellers to compare to? I’d be interested to know how the dynamic feel is compared to something like my HX Stomp. I have a JCM800 1959 which is pretty much plexi but it’s been modded which a lot of actual Plexis have been too, which makes it an even smaller pool of people w...

Re: UAFX Lion Safari!

Would love an honest review when you have had a good play! Haven't had a good play yet. But had a solid introduction just before Xmas. :) First impressions: Sounds and plays nothing like my actual Super Bass. Second impressions: Tweak the settings and the cab model to match the ones I use in real l...

Re: Pedals Of Epicness

I had one that was one of the the oldest I've seen, switch labelled bright, old logo, shallow box, but I don't remember the gain knob being reversed like the reissues. Maybe it was a transition one before the logo change. Sort of regret selling it to a collector in auckland, but I didn't bond with ...

That’s awesome, Reuben.

How come the things I regret selling never turn up again?! Dammit!

Hell yeah. It’ll be one of the few things I feel qualified to review proper like. :)

Yes. That and I can’t wrangle my super bass half stack up the awkward staircase at my place!

Hoping to get the playing feel sound of the real thing at a flat friendly volume.

Re: These are a few of my favourite things. UAFX Lion!

Kinda can’t contain my anticipation.
Ordered the Lion pedal and it arrived a bit over a week ago. But can’t get a day off to pick it up til later this week.

As one old friend used to put it, I’m fizzing at the bung with excitement!

Same to you my bro!!
My American born girlfriend wished me a happy thanksgiving.

I looked at her with the straightest face I could muster and said, wait... wasn't that July the 4th?

Re: These are a few of my favourite things. UAFX Lion!

Crikey, there’s some expensive shit out there and nobody bats an eye. I’ve used the plugins for a while now. Not cheap but soooo worth it. Same goes for the pedals I’ve bought so far. I don’t think they’re overly expensive compared to a lot out there. But I’m pretty safe knowing I’ll get a bloody go...

UAFX Lion Safari!

I'm excited to try this pedal when it gets here. For years I've been using Marshall amps, mostly various Super Lead heads, a lovely JTM45, JCM800 etc. But the one that's a keeper and still surprises me with what I can get out of it, is my '74 Super Bass. I've also been using UAD gear for recording a...

Re: NAD: Princeton Reverb

The glue in the joints is actually made from his concentrated urine. we like to call it depleted urineium... it adds a certain je ne se qui. I'm not sure it's healthy that your urine is an effective binding agent. You'd really want to prevent too much stasis in the ol' urethra. Like many things, BG...

Re: Peter Frampton

Love Frampton but…

Back in 2006 and the Stones played western springs.
To everyone’s horror, Nickleback were the opening act.

My best mate who was down in the expensive seats texts me “is that the worst haircut since Peter Frampton?”
I reply “Frampton then or Frampton now?”

Re: Show us your pedalboard

I didn't think I had ever posted in this thread before, but found I had done 15 years ago! https://www.nzguitars.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=189615#p189615 For a long time I had a large, ever changing board. At some point I added a LoopMaster switcher that I picked up off BG. But I'm getting older and...
