Re: Effect of changing room temperature on guitars - at home?

Earthquake paranoia has led me to keep mine in cases with one out to be played ( rotated ). I have noticed with wraptails however that at certain times the sitaring effect becomes more prominent which would indicate a certain amount of wood movement. Havn't been attentive enough to be able to accura...

Re: Patch cables

4mm of the inner copper wire 2mm of the white sleeve, 10mm of the shielding ( twisted ). No amount specified for the black sleeve so just a wee bit.

Re: Patch cables

I've got lava stuff on my board too. Found it difficult to assemble functioning cables until I started using a ruler to precisely cut them to the manufacturers spec. Now they all work first time. May not apply to you though...

Re: Which electrical contact cleaner for amp pots?

Deoxit do a version called I think fader cleaner. Intended for mixing desk faders etc. I have been informed that other cleaners leave a residue. The fader cleaner doesn't. It is of course ridiculously expensive, as is the postage from the US.. These are based in New Zealand and carry the Deoxit ran...

Screenshot_20230914_202246_Chrome.jpg Apparently very loud! The GK 250ml was amp for the guitars on Irons Maidens Somewhere in Time album. They seem to have a cult following. Yes, along with some other big names, like Gilmour, Sambora, Lifeson, and Van Halen (for practice). I bought one t...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

I have this ol' girl down in the crypt...not as salubrious as the 122s but it has a cool valve amp powering a full range, 12" speaker and 2 speed. Nice wooden cab too...and it was cheap and goes great. A little large for the board so I'm rockin' a Lex at the mo' for my organ enjoyment. open go...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Nice board, man. Great choices...curious about the Lehle vol pedal: is it quiet? Smooth travel and stay put where you set it? Any gain boost available and if so, does it otherwise sub for a dedicated clean boost (if one were to so desire)? Also, how do you use the Warped Vinyl? (subtle) vibrato or ...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Interesting. Does it stack ok? I currently play a cleanish blackface, and use a bluesdriver clone set medium gain for rhythm. For lead, I hit the bluesdriver with a tubecreamer, (both pedals stacked). Lead tone sits up nicely... tight, articulate with about 3dB volume boost. However, I'd just prefe...
