Re: Baritone Madness
People have been raving about these as a cheap option, I'd be keen to grab one if the wait time wasn't so long!

It might be an older model when they used a different spec power supply which means that running it off a standard 9v won't work - does it say to use an "ACA" or "PSU" adaptor on the back? Heaps of info on the topic here: https://stinkfoot.se/archives/726 And the mod/solution: h...

Re: Synth Chat
Fixed the issue on the SH-1 - the "hold" fader for the VCA had disconnected. Re-soldered and that's working good now! Also repaired a couple of broken screw holes so now it's feeling a lot sturdier. Next step is sorting out the tuning as it's pretty bad at the moment. Found a service manua...

Re: Synth Chat
My latest toy arrived yesterday, a very old and smelly Roland SH-1
Needs a bit of TLC - only real issue is that all the notes never trigger "off". Liking it a lot already though

I swear by this stuff for removing sticker residue https://www.bunnings.co.nz/de-solv-it-125ml-multi-purpose-cleaner-spray_p0172055 Score! Actually saw a bottle of this under the sink at home recently, completely forgot. See if that does the trick. Might even remove the Xs with a bit of elbow grease

New offset day - picked up this Toronado GT at cash converters. This is from 2005, Fender were making a few guitars in Korea at that time and I think they're pretty good bang for buck. Mahogany body, rosewood fretboard, Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates and '59 pickups. Pretty much a Les Paul  Photo...
