Yep after gain, and for the most part I wasn’t running any gain at all, just gat-flint-iridium.

Re: In Praise of the Flint

Bought a flint a while back and finally got to try it out yesterday - through an Iridium as I’m amp-less. Have to say it left me a little bit underwhelmed given YouTube demos and the general reputation it has, which is unfortunate as I was so looking forward to having and using one. Felt and sounde...

A result of this experience is to have instant reverb and trem gas again. Definitely like the look of the Supro trem and the Anasounds reverb…

Re: In Praise of the Flint

I have Slowy's Flint atm and playing it trhough my Jansen amp. I must say, I agree with you. I find the Flint underwhelming too when compared to my other digital reverb. Currently I have the Flint setup in series with my Yamaha Magic Stomp. The latter has a number of different reverb types availabl...

Re: Favourite Strat colour with rosewood board?

I had a similar Strat that I stripped & left as natural. I used black plastics. 62ri0001.JPG That looks nice Mike :-) Still thinking I'm more leaning towards a relic'ed finish. Obviously was originally sunburst, but I'm not sure I want that. I've been thinking about it for a while :-) What abou...

I just oil it with fretboard oil which is clear (untinted) & contains no mineral oil. It does look especially good in these photos.
All it needs now is the neck and headstock neck a darker tint ;)

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

100% in Conway's mail right now: This is disappointing. By keeping the pickguards black they’ve missed the opportunity to go double denim. I assume these guitars now cannot be sold in Canada. Personally I'd replace the plastics with Mother-of-Toilet-Seat. Presumably to emulate the white snakeskin b...
