Hi all,
Does anyone have some sort of experience in the realm of 7 & 8 string pickups and their marketability? In particular, the likelihood to sell on these two Duncans:
Seymour Duncacn Invader Neck Active Soapbar 7-String
Seymour Duncan Blackouts Bridge 8-String
Cheers

Re: Mod or New Guitar?
actually looking at the "artist" website, i'm pretty sure I have one of the LP59 guitars, just under a different name ... if it is the same (headstock , neck behind the nut exactly same shape etc) then its is a pretty cool guitar but not on the same level as a epiphone or chinese tokai. N...

Re: Mod or New Guitar?
The other thing the secondhand epiphone has is that you can resell it for about what you paid for it. I couldn't imagine me getting my money back for an epiphone or squier, maybe you could with Gibson or Fender, but epiphone and squier are Chinese manufactured only used for a cheap alternative. I r...

Re: Advice on upgrade
You may as well sell the Belcat to put towards something else. I would suggest waiting for a Laney Cub 12R to pop up and grab that, they come up for around $300 from time to time. 15w tube with an input for 1w for quieter applications. Sounds pretty damn good for the price point. Thanks! I'll defin...

Re: Mod or New Guitar?
Is the process of modding your guitar what you're really interested in? If so, a second hand Squier or SX would be a good place to start. If, on the other hand you are wanting a better player, look for something by Vintage. Much of their product is seriously under rated and great value. That's a to...

Re: Mod or New Guitar?
That all sounds a bit like throwing good money after bad. The artist website tells me the LP59 is about $550 NZD. I've seen good condition second hand Epiphone LP Standards go for less than that on trademe, but you'll need to be patient and not too fussy about colour. It'll be a better guitar and m...

Mod or New Guitar?
Hi, I'll be looking to upgrade my rig later this year and there are 3 things I'm thinking of doing: Buying an LP59 from artist guitars or a Japanese squier/fender. Modding my current LP diy kit Les Paul (Hums a lot due to faulty output and bridge pickup doesn't work). Or buying a cheap guitar with r...

Advice on upgrade
Hi I've been saving up for a school trip to Australia in September this year and with the money I'll (hopefully) have left over, I want to upgrade my current rig. Currently, I have a 5 watt belcat solid-state amp I got from the local music store for $90 on my birthday last year and I'm looking to a ...
