Re: Finding new music.....alt-rock / grunge content

Google's obviously watching me because I hadn't heard of Biffy Clyro before seeing this thread, yet this was in my youtube suggestions today:

Seems like a nice fella.

Can't get over the tone on this, sits so well in the song. Skip to 2:40 for the lead:

Re: Clean boost?

I have a Silverpistol Judge I'm not using, may be slightly thicker than you're wanting. I believe bender had/has one so you're probably familiar.

The original pedal was wildly popular and has been cloned like crazy ever since: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klon_Centaur

Re: Small combo amp recomendations ?

+1 on the katana 50. Loud enough to keep up with a band, but turned down to 0.5W it sounds great at bedroom levels. The built in effects are nice if you want to try things out but you can just ignore them.

So cool! What's the texture of the body finish like? I am imagining gradually sanding my forearm down on it.

Re: Seeing out 2020

Gear-wise I sold off an american ash tele and SA-700 - both of which I regret a little - to help justify a motorbike purchase. My only electric now is my (ex-bender) jazzmaster which I still love to bits and can't see myself ever parting with. Work-wise I'm very lucky to work in IT which was largely...

Re: I covered a Smashing Pumpkins tune :)

Adore was the first album I bought, on cassette. Was hugely disappointed because I just wanted more Mellon Collie . But I've enjoyed it much more looking back.

This sounds awesome. You nailed the feel. Did you track everything from scratch? There's so much going on!

Something about these tele's just make the body colour pop. Must be the binding. Looks amazing.
