Re: NGD! Finally assembled Orange rig

Juuuuuuicy! The thing i like most about Orange is how simple the setup is. No need for lots of time dialing things in, just plug and go. Seems like you'd have a hard time finding a setting that doesn't sound good

Re: Treble Booster: To Buy or Build?

Thanks for the great feedback everyone! What's the best place to get a kit from then? My initial thought was to get one of those $30 Nux OD-3 jobbies, plus the others bits needed and go from there. Leaving the covers on the pickups is far more titillating for me  I'll give the screaming bird a...

Treble Booster: To Buy or Build?

Hi Team, Opinions please. It's the old "humbuckers into dark amp needs brightening up" situation. I think i want to be in the position where i have slightly too much treble so i can dial it back to taste. I also want to keep the other frequency cuts to a minimum. The dedicated treble boost...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

You ended up buying the ES-5? Good choice :)
Yeah mate! Bit spendy, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. It's faultless. I wish i had more midi stuff to control with it. Space wise i don't think the Joyo would have worked out anyhow.

I saw your wanted post, did you manage to get one?

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Current board iteration. Quite happy with the layout considering i don't have any rails to run under.

No particularly interesting pedals on here, but the Holystain adds enough excitement for me!

Re: PJ!

Good thing i don't go to gigs for the relevance then, as i would have seen about 90% fewer gigs by now!

I'll check out this PJ when i get home

Re: Epiphone Les Paul hard case

The country difference is the first thing that sprang to mind for me with regard to why it doesn't have one. America gets the good stuff, and we're lucky to get what we get due to being an endangered species.

Re: Epiphone Les Paul hard case

The one JHorner linked is the one you're after, fits my Epi LP studio quite nicely. Usually if you're buying a new guitar from the Rockshop they will give you a small discount on a suitable case/bag if it doesn't already come with one. Seems that they didn't want to suggest it in this instance, whic...

Re: Learn me about pedalboards - and maybe sell me one!

I use one wall wart for all my 9v pedals. Techincally yes, it does do that stuff, but with the pedals i'm using there isn't any noticable noise coming from the pedal chain. I think a big part of it comes down to the individual pedals you're using. The Korg PB tuner has a daisy option on it too. The ...

Re: Learn me about pedalboards - and maybe sell me one!

An easy option would be to make space on/under the pedal board for a nice mains multi-board. Put your wall warts on that and a 1-spot daisy chain for the battery pedals.
