If that's the case, I think I've got some Vishay Roederstein MKT 1813 caps somewhere. I'm pretty sure I have a few 0.68uf / 680nf but only rated at 63-volts if I recall correctly. I'd need to dig them out to confirm.

Re: Pedal Building Resources

Got a new soldering iron recommendation- Ksger T12 https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLB7286 Heats in 2 seconds, is tiny and cheap. Tony Pepers recommended it, arrived in 6 days, and it’s superb. $70ish can’t be beat. I was looking at something similar before being gifted a Goot RX711AS soldering station.

A lot of people listen with their eyes however. That TS-808 once owned by SRV will sound way better than that Joyo Vintage Overdrive.

He does some good flurries though, so I bet he could rip it up if he wanted too!
One of my all-time favorite players that for sure. No doubt. I'm sure he could really let it rip if he wanted to.

Not sexy? Are you mad? Don’t think there’s another player in the world that can nail that mornful whale like David gilmour does, definitely sexy mate! Flashy might have been a better word. No two-handed tapping, whammy bar dive bombing etc. What the Average Joe would think amazing guitar playing wa...

I can appreciate the skill level of shred guitar but prefer a bit of space and feeling between notes.

Agreed. I think that because his playing isn't sexy to a lot of people don't recognise his greatness.

Re: Questions for the amp/pedal building geeks re: Caps

The service notes for the RE-201 should tell you the operating voltage. A rough rule of thumb is to use a capacitor that is rated at least double the voltage it will see in circuit. For example, if the voltage of a pedal is 18-volts you'd want caps rated at at least 25-volt or higher. 35-volt would ...

I had a Deluxe for a while and turned the trimpot all the way down and that was still too much.
