I thought the whole thing with dumbles was that were made specifically for each user, and that each one was different/unique ?

Re: Rhodes piano pre-amp (pedal builders??)
I saw one of these in cash converters here about 3 years ago and was sorely tempted (I dont play keys and havent a clue), but it was such a cool looking thing. Reminded me of that scene in The Blues Brothers with Ray Charles....

Re: Donald Fagan Nightfly album Chord charts PDF
So good...his work always makes his contemporaries seem like amateurs. And 1982!! My birth year :) Fuck off, ive got guitar strings that are older than you.... Great album though, it was one of the LP's to have at the time, probably largely forgotten now. Another contender is Bring the Family by Jo...

Re: where have all the fancy amps gone
Well ok thats only slightly true. As we are moving to Melbourne i am only taking one with me. If my Davy Stuart ever gets finished it will be that one, if not it will be my 2017 00-28. My 2 old Guilds (a 1964 M20 and 1969 F30 are both staying here). The M20 will be in storage and my plan is to get D...

Re: where have all the fancy amps gone
seems like there are very few classy amps - boutique, handwired mainstream - amps going for sale in recent times. I've managed to collect a bunch over the years but hardly ever see anything popping up these days. What's with the amp hogging or am I looking in the wrong places? I think that murphys ...

No great surprise there: If you want a Guild buy one that was made in Westerly.

Re: The Acoustic Thread
Sold through Music Planet here, similar woods to Cole Clark by the looks of it. I have not played one either. Looks to be more of a small scale factory builder rather than a standalone luthier (so at least you stand a fighting chance of getting the guitar in your lifetime...)

Re: NAD: Princeton Reverb
Great to see you are enjoying that amp Bruce, certainly seems to have seen more action since you have had it than it did in the whole time it lived here.... It's totally blown my acoustic only vibe. In fact, I'm playing the Strat every day and really enjoying it. This is unheard of! Two of my mains...

This Is not the review my wallet needs to hear!!! So jealous right now Bruce, congrats mate!!! I spent this morning playing Humbuckers through it. This amp is the 'Loyal dog' equivalent of my Taylor. (Always willing to do whatever I want, nothing's a problem.) Glad it finally arrived and you are en...

Re: 1970s Japanese pawnshop prize.
That's got Made in Italy by EKO written all over it! An if it isn't, I'll put money on it being patterned on one. How much does it weigh? I had one of those EKO 12 strings back in the 90s. This seems a lot better made. A bit of research has told me that these were made in the Tokai Gakki factory in...
