Re: NGD: Gibson CS R6 Goldtop heavy aged

Congrats. I agree with Jim; it's nice to just enjoy a guitar without worrying about a few knocks.

What fret size is that? They look medium jumboish, compared to the fretless wonder they usually come with.

That's one to cherish and enjoy for many years.

Re: Insecure Delusion (TOOL tribute) - The Cabana, May 4th

Wish I could be there. Do you guys do any tracks off Fear Inoculum? Do you guys tackle the synth stuff also? Nothing from Fear Innoculum yet but Pneuma is on the list. Re: Large Headstocks on Strats

I didn't have a preference until I got a Robin Trower Strat on a trade, with the bigger headstock. I took a liking to it, and didn't think it looked too out of proportion.

Nah, Gibson know their target audience. Fat old men with scrawny little arms.
Well all your sister feeds me is ramen and tofu, but her soy latte is the best.
I'll let my brother know you still think he's a woman.
Hahahaha, I got nothing after that one

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!

Is it a Gibson cardigan ? If it's anything like their t-shirts, I don't want one. The sleeves are too short and tight. Like it's large everywhere else, and medium on the sleeves. Quality control, etc. Nah, Gibson know their target audience. Fat old men with scrawny little arms. Well all your sister...

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!

Looking at the present and future guitarists, I'll stick with the past thanks. Audible dreck, 90% of it. Although there still seems to be a plethora of youngsters on YouTube playing Sabbath and Zeppelin material, so maybe there is hope. I'll fetch my cardigan. Is it a Gibson cardigan ? If it's anyt...

Just had my Les Paul setup and a few frets addressed by Trevor Binford: https://m.facebook.com/binfordluthiery

10/10 Perfect job (and he didn't scratch it 👌). Recommended.

Re: Les Paul and Tele tuning stability tips?

How do you string your guitars? In my experience it's always the nut. My '68 custom RI stayed in tune forever, but a few slots were cut too low. I had a bone nut put in, and the stability went comically backwards, which led to some anger towards the "luthier" who did it. I put a graph tech...
