Re: Anybody else import from Online or use Reverb?
I’ve bought from Andertons multiple times with no issue so perhaps it’s just a glitch? Looks like it. Nothing suspicious on my CC, so tried again today and went through smoothly. Counting the days now :D I am totally and utterly flabbergasted.... Ordered on the 9th... delivered to my door 10 minute...

Re: Guitar related plugins
The aesthetics above are too clean for me! Need that "reliced" UAD look. If you're getting skeuomorphic, why not go all the way??

Re: Guitar related plugins
I still think the Scuffham S-Gear holds up pretty well. UAD makes some decent ones, but they take a lot more tweaking. Key advantage there is the low latency with UAD interfaces.
Honestly, those demos sound so polished, it's hard to tell what the plugins themselves sound like...

Loud noises !!! Yes twas mine. 1x12 Next time Was that a Tremolux? I would love to try that next time. Yeah I know, but I did chuckle the fact I started playing a non-jam riff, Rob and Jimi joined in, then I turned around to see everyone else had left, taking their gear with them  Once the not...

If anyone who appears in any of the videos I am putting up is not happy about being "in the public domain", let me know and I will remove it. Slowly uploading.... Counting... This is what Slowy is referring to: Pity the boys didn't crank it, or did they https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unZ...

Re: Auckland / Northland Gearfest: 14th August 2022
Thanks for documenting it all Jay! Really captured the giddy delight of a cranked plexi ;) Thanks to blackstratblues for putting his speakers on the line (and having excellent taste), and to Rob for putting this whole thing together! Apologies to the sophisticated jazzbos in the front room for the h...

That's going to be a struggle. Will work something else out. Rob, I'll bring a second guitar rack if that's what you're a...

Re: Anybody else import from Online or use Reverb?
Yeah Im the same, I use to live close to where Thomann are situated. So have a bit of a bias toward them. Which is dissapointing, given as you said they highly likely sell more than $60k but still charge 15% GST on items under $1k. I think there's still some misunderstanding here. Thomann are (lega...

Re: Guitar shopping in Nashville
Sounds like serious fun! Gibson garage was cool two acoustics were killer like ridiculously better than all the others... Good to see Gibson are "authentically" keeping the tradition of inconsistent acoustics alive! I wandered into the Ithaca, NY location of Rumble Seat a few years ago. Th...

Re: Anybody else import from Online or use Reverb?
Maybe we should adhere to the front page which companies are not applying GST etc. What is this? Narcs anonymous? Thomann will definitely be selling >60k to NZ, so you can't blame them really. Music Store are a major retailer though - I ordered from them a few times when I lived in Germany a...

Re: Anybody else import from Online or use Reverb?
I'm really confused as to what you think the policy is on GST collection overseas, as what they have stated is exactly what the law requires. Upto $1000 NZD - Overseas retailer is expected to charge GST (UNLESS they sell less than $60k worth of product a year to NZ). Over $1000 NZD - NZ customs to ...

Re: Auckland / Northland Gearfest: 14th August 2022
I'll have a 2x12 that might handle 50 of your 200 Watts. I've got one that can nominally handle 60W (2xG12H30), so we could run them in parallel. Might be risking it with the Super Bass though. I'll probably bring the Waza-TAE along, just in case. I hope your R7 is green and smelly. It's certainly ...
