Re: NGD: Gibson CS R6 Goldtop heavy aged
Congrats! Had been watching that one for a while. The one thing I like with relics is the non-need to be precious with them, probably not going to be an “oh shit” moment when it gets its first knock or ding
Oh and thanks for the reminder I need to get a Goldtop back in my stable. Enjoy

Re: Show us your pedalboard
I'm considering this route too. Analogue drives and a single multi fx to rule them all. My current pedalboard weighs a metric fuck-tonne. Yeah, I’m of the same mindset and think I’ll always have a pedal(s) for drive. But with regards to the effects side of things, the technology nowadays is so damn...

Re: Show us your pedalboard
I've scaled right back and am enjoying the simplicity for a while. The Headrush is purely being used for effects - couple of delays, couple of reverbs, leslie, chorus, flanger etc. Guitar is running into an old Dunlop wah that's been modded by Chur , then into a fuzz made by Chur , my old MIJ 80's B...

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread
Oh right, my old mind must have got muddled along the way. I was thinking it was a Standard for some odd reason, boy could that LP sing and squawk with those Antiquities in it
Loving this thread. All these years thinking I was a Strat guy when really I was just a closet LP lover waiting to come out

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread
I’ve always been a pickguard off type guy, shame to hide the top. Your/mine/Danny’s LP wasn’t a Classic BG, it was a Standard. Or do you just mean it was a classic… jeez that doesn’t make much sense does it

If I’m not wrong I think 300k are generally known to sound a bit on the dark side. Well, I either do remember reading that somewhere or I’ve made it up

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread
I miss my R8, thanks for reminding me about it Joe! Ours could have been brothers, love the top on them Still the only one I regret letting go of was my ‘93 LP Premium Plus, ended up selling it to Danny and he’s never expressed any interest of relinquishing it :( Mine…. Correct. I can still remembe...
