Re: Insecure Delusion (TOOL tribute) - The Cabana, May 4th
Wish I could be there. Do you guys do any tracks off Fear Inoculum? Do you guys tackle the synth stuff also? Nothing from Fear Innoculum yet but Pneuma is on the list. As you can imagine, there’s quite a catalogue! We’re essentially working album by album - starting with Ænema with one or two “hit ...

Insecure Delusion (TOOL tribute) - The Cabana, May 4th
WHOA YEAH. That's right, we're hitting up Napier as part of The Royal Variety Show 6 at The Cabana. If that wasn't enough, it's also Star Wars-themed! We're one of ten bands ( :!: :!: :!: ) playing that night. I have it on good authority that we're on at 8.30pm on the main stage, so I'd consider us ...

Re: Insecure Delusion: a tribute to Tool
Thanks for the kind words! What the gear hounds and aficionados won't tell you is that 90% of the Tool bass sound is just smacking the absolute living shit out of the strings.
The other 10% is hideously expensive.

Insecure Delusion: a tribute to Tool
Hey folks, my Tool tribute band Insecure Delusion had our first outing on Friday and I thought I'd share it here (hopefully the right place!) It's not particularly high quality but pretty decent for a DSLR camera. I'm on bass and was pretty happy with the tone! Best listened with headphones or good ...

One thing engineers love - having full amp and cab sims on each board.

Re: Cable recommendations
I am very happy with my Runway Audio custom cables. The casing is very stiff, but it’ll break in over time.
My Freedom cables are still going strong 15 years later too…

Yep, this is a Mark I build so I gather it's a pretty fussy circuit, despite (or perhaps because of it) being 'simple'. I thought it needed a bit of Reg's signature attention to detail!

Pretty excited about this custom order from Reg. It apparently took 50 transistor swaps to get it right!
