Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
Picked this up today. Got a great deal for an Ibanez S521 - in great condition and the seller was really helpful and nice. Came with an Ibanez case and a cable as well. It is astonishingly light - 2.3 KG. It is so light that it has an slight issue with neck dive but I play sitting down with a strap ...

I replaced the string trees of two of my guitars with Graphtech TUSQ XL ones.
I'm hoping they help with tuning stability somewhat but they do look better than my old ones.

Re: The Acoustic Thread
Just got this back from Ramsay after a setup. An Epiphone DR500MCE. Solid sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides. Bought second hand in mint condition at a great price. Built in Dec 2021 at the Samick factory in Indonesia. Plays and sounds amazing. Very happy with it joining my family of af...

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!
I had an interesting chat with Ramsay Phillips on Monday after dropping off my Epiphone Dreadnought for a set up. 1. I said that Gibson is coasting off its name recognition nowadays and he agreed. He said he'd rather have a MIJ Tokai or an Eastman instead of a recent made Gibson (2020s onwards). He ...

Re: Pedals Of Epicness
I've had the SONIC IR pedal for about two months now. I've paid $76 NZD all up for it and very happy with what it does at its price.
If you're looking for a no-frills cabinet impulse loader pedal in a small size then I would recommend this pedal.

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
What’s the “normal” scale length for a Baritone? I’d assume bigger is better. I would say 27 inch is the "normal" one and a lot more ergonomic to play than a 30 inch baritone. It's just that a 30 inch baritone allows me to tune 2 steps below while maintaining good string tension using Bar...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
My 8 string from them was the same, was just a loose wire on the output jack, fixed it up myself, I tend to replace all the wiring in their guitars anyway as its usually a bit of a let down compared to the rest of the guitar! It worked all good in the end for me because I bought a 30-inch Baritone ...

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
I like playing open chords on bass using a pick with a lot of delay and reverb - letting each note ring out. Suspended chords sound great.

Re: What's on your work bench?
I've just replaced the awful bridge pickup and the okay neck Pickup on my Baritone guitar. Neck has been replaced with Dimarzio's Virtual Vintage 54 Pro. Noiseless single coil. Bridge has been replaced with Tonerider Rocksong. Sounds MUCH better now. Ooooh what guitar is that? looks cool! It's the ...
