Re: Cables everywhere...

Why dont you Rack your pedal effects and just use a midi pedal/controller , you can run all the pedals including the GT-8 this way.... Then you just have one cable and pedal on the floor... I agree, and I really want one, but I own the cable, and Im short on cash... Also, my G2D's are two st...

Cables everywhere...

Ok, dont quite know where this post should go, but this is a techie kind of thing so I've put it in amps... My gear: (Heilo)-(3xG2D pedals)-(Mesa Stiletto)-(GT8 in fx loop). Problem: Too many cables on the floor, the GT8 runs in the loop and takes care of the time based fx and channel switching. Alo...

Re: GT-6 Recording Tone Test - latest progress up!

Yup, I like it. I have the GT6 and the GT8 and have been a 'digital' guitarist for years. I am impressed with the tones you got there, and I like the overall sound and riff you have created... My 16 year old daughter is a good guitarist and bass player and came right over when I played the clip and ...

Re: Live Sound - Getting the balance right

Ahem.... I have some thoughts on this: The attitude of the musicians is really the most critical element. Everyone needs to be striving for the best unified sound. If one guy in the band is on an ego trip he can really mess up the FOH and stage sound by invading their sonic space and playing a...

Re: Peavey Classic 50 4x10

Hey Darcy I am considering a classic 50 (2x12) myself, I had an expectation that a fender or a messa are going to be what I am after, but really, who cares what its called. I tried a used Messa Blue Angel the other day and was not blown away at all, quite the reverse, I found it very ordinary for $2...

Oh. My. Gosh.

Thats a shocker, how on earth can a person in all honesty re-badge a cheap product and pass it off as top quality?!
I have never played one of his guitars, didnt know that the necks were made in Korea.
Not knocking Korean instruments though.

So very glad I went to Adrian...

So how much for a condom, when grovelling, greasing, and brownie points are calculated? ;-) I like the look of the neck joint, very nice guitar. You'll have to make your own arrangements for a condom, but this particular Coden is up for grabs for $1300. Subsequent ones will be more like $1700+. If ...

No thanks mate, I am getting two 12" MacKenzies from Simcha Delft for this cab, if the detuned thing works out I will have a spare, or a better speaker for the Bandit.

Thanks though.

Old Gunn 2x12 cab

I have this nice old pine 2x12 Gunn cabinet that needs new speakers. Its one of those projects that is waiting for some spare money and time. I am considering making a detuned cab out of it. I have had a look on the net but cant find much info, but what I have found seems to be a bunch of 2x12 cabs ...

Hey, Hot Grits (and all other tweed owners) I was just wondering... What kind of guitars are you using with your genuine tweed amps, is single coil the flavour of choice or are you using humbuckers as well? Only reason I ask is that most people who have tweed amps seem to have strats or teles and I ...

Used some nice pics of your guitars (having asked first) in a presentation on Kiwi made high end instruments and electronics, and got lots of wow, ooooh, and aaaah, from the audience. I dug up that image of the swirly neck inlay, that made waves too. Ok, ok, I am getting out my well used "Adria...
