Re: What a lot of us have been wanting from Kemper..
I’ll let you know how I find it once mine arrives :) I have the advantage of being very used to the Kemper infrastructure, having used it at home and live for 11 years. I don’t adjust anything on my kemper when playing live (even volume is controlled via the mixer) although running one of these into...

Re: NPD: Neunaber Neuron - with a little review
Great unit. The computer app for it opens up a lot of opportunities too including multiple presets. And I use little Yamaha Bluetooth midi adaptors to connect my neuron to my computer without cables

Re: Which electrical contact cleaner for amp pots?
Thanks. Seems to have fixed the issue I was having with the Bogner volume pot :) Interestingly, my recollection is that this amp has been on this forum previously and was described as having had the schizo rotary switch upgraded to have more options. Turns out that was not the case - rather, the was...

Re: Which electrical contact cleaner for amp pots?
CRC seems to be the ‘gold standard’ but there are generic electrical contact cleaners that will clean & lube your pots. Jaycar has one that I’ve used and it definitely does the job. Using just a contact cleaner spray (isopropanol usually) is not a good idea unless you use it sparingly, otherwis...

Who in Auckland services valve amps nowadays?
I've collected one of the blue 30th anniversary Marshall 100w combos (the 6101) from a family whom i'm helping out selling their deceased son's gear. This amp looks like it has sat unused for some years. It's a bit grubby, it has noisy pots, and the sound is a bit crap even for a Marshall (I joke). ...

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX
If buying second hand then I believe there’s a bunch of issues. Like IK only allows one transfer ever so you’ll not be able to sell it. And if the seller doesn’t do the transfer right then you are also screwed. I don’t know the full details as I bought mine new direct from IK but I’ve seen grief and...

Sorry if someone has already posted this, but here's some Guthrie magic that took my breath away. I also love how Hans just stands there almost like his jaw is hitting the floor

Re: Pedalboard tone suckage woes
I’ve had bad experiences with pedals like switch blade sucking tone. I fixed (at the time) by using a boss tuner as the first pedal because it is buffered
