Re: Directory listing for guitar repairs, services etc.

Is that the one who stuffed up your nut? How are you going with doing it yourself? Yeah same one. His second attempt has led to disappointing results. I'll give it a go myself with a slotted tusq. If only it was done properly in the first place by the manufacturer. I'll leave it there. Where are yo...

Can we do reviews of said places? I've got a 0 out of 10 recommendation for one of them. Is that the one who stuffed up your nut? How are you going with doing it yourself? Yeah same one. Congrats man. But far out, the previous owner needs a boot for selling a guitar in such filthy condition. Some people have no shame - but you've spruced it up nicely.

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Beauty. Are you going to make any other changes, Grant? Witch hats, etc (although those speed knobs look great on it). I like the 14° headstock much more than the 50's era steepness. Headstock angle never bothers me, but this does have a slinky feel to bends, which some attribute that angle to. I'd...

Cool. The SG shape is great for a beginner - light and easy access to the upper frets. Good choice 👌

Re: Bass Learning Resources

Certainly played some Smiths the last few days. “Strangeways” is a better album than I remember Great band with a top bassplayer. R.I.P. Andy Rourke He was a magnificent player. He didn't just dawdle about, he was all over the neck, giving all 4 strings a workout. I don't like anonymous sounding ba...

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?

Played the old Rickenbacker I sold a relative last night. That big top horn seems to dig into my ribs more than I remember.

I want one of those Sadowsky 4-20s. What's the deal with those in terms of where they're made? Some say Germany, others NYC, and elsewhere.
