Tempting! Possibly a bit overwhelming, though that's probably true for any FM unit. But this guy's tutorial has me imagining I could at least have some fun with it:

Re: What are you gassing for?

Gassing for a hardware drum machine. Considering something like a korg volca drum. Why? I have no idea. I have no real use for one and doubt I have the patience to make it worthwhile. But they look cool! I have the Behringer clone of the Roland 606, the RD-6, its bloody cool, USB Midi or 5 pin din ...

Re: The Cheap Guitars Thread

I'll kick off with this Chinese Gretsch Electromatic. I can't find anything wrong with the build quality. Nothing feels cheap (actually, ok, the control cavity covers are a bit flimsy). It's been professionally set up and plays as well as anything. Came with a good gig bag for $600NZ (used). Lee An...

Nice one guys, wish I could have made it out. Jimmy - did you sell the Drone Rainger? When I think of gearfest I still think of how that blew my mind the first time I heard it  Ah yes, that one took a bloody long time to get out of my head! I was back on YouTube watching Ranger FX demos this...

Re: Show us your whole setup....

Tidy! Tell me about your 000-15m? They seem pretty tempting... I actually went out intending to buy a 000-15M but came back with this 00-15M. I love the "warmth" of these things which I'm sure is all down to the mahogany. The 00-15M was a wee bit quieter than the 000, but to my ear it's i...

Thinking about getting a little solid state amp for my home office too. It's great! Mostly running it throug...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Got a few guitar wall hangers in the mail to finally set up my office properly. Took 6 days to move from "picked up" to "processing at depot". Hasn't even left Auckland yet :(

Re: Help Me Decide The Colour: The Yamaha Revstar RSS20L

Only thing I find off-putting about the blue is that the pickguard doesn't quite match the racing stripes - seems more parchment/yellow. Hard to tell what it would look like in person or how it would age.

But you can't go wrong, these look awesome.

Re: What are you gassing for?

makes a change, normally he posts that in digital amp threads.... I nearly bought that custom colour one on TM recently until I saw the gut shots. 3 little printed boards with the valve bases soldered on and connected by thin strip leads. Looked like a Peavey 30 and landfill the first time anything...

Waiting for you in the Uk ? V pretty too. Naa. Wasn't patient enough for that. Wonder how long it'll take to reach me here. I think they send via DHL, so it’ll probably arrive before I receive the parcel from Christchurch I’ve been waiting for for 12 days now. :problem: I just received a package vi...
