Ha! I was going to put in brackets ‘It definitely won’t win you any cool-gear points though’ in that paragraph.
Sad, but true!

Re: What pedal am I looking for?

I find there’s a special kind of thing happening in the JHS Prestige pedals. Could definitely be an always on pedal, and there’s a ridiculous amount of headroom in them. If you’re wanting a bit more when you dig in you could just try running a flat EQ pedal with the gain boosted too. Bonus of using ...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Tortoise brown scratch plate and back plate for the Strat so it looks like this! Have always preferred the brown pickguards, to white on sunbursts so I had to break my usual non-tinkering ways...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Just had to finish a few extra patch leads, and setup the Gigrig Isolator to power the little acoustic setup. Had the great John Gilmore convert the ‘Both’ footswitch on the electric board’s AB/Y to an isolated tap tempo for the DD7 too. It’s never used because it splits between my acoustic and elec...

Re: Show us your gig

Here's a short clip of some footage from our gig with Mr DD Smash a few days ago in Hamilton! Sold Out at 1400 tickets and was a really great gig!! A special mention to my great friend Arie for putting this together for me  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnkfj-5uGx8 Nice! Thanks very much...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Few more Evidence Audio SIS cables (can’t turn back now), JHS Prestige turned up today, and another Gigrig Isolater for isolated power for my little acoustic board. Only have a tuner, clean boost and AB/Y splitter but was getting a frustrating hum problem, so looking forward to eliminating that :thu...

Live with THE Band @ Nivara Lounge. Saturday, August 10th

Probably our last headline show of the year because album #2 is almost finished which means it's time to start getting ready to go back in to the studio. Which I'm really looking forward to  Also if you're in the Waikato, I'll be doing a radio interview tomorrow morning with a friend of min...

Re: Buying Fender Japan, from Japan

I find some of the prices coming out of Japan can be a bit random at times. Or maybe slightly inconsistent is more what I mean. I’ve brought a few things over, and was slightly burned once (which can obviously happen anywhere) but other than that it’s been good.
