OMG Where did you get that sweet curved head+Cab setup from? Totally rocking without all the straight lines.

Re: Strat position 2 is too dark . . .
Could remove the tone control when your in that position, but that might require you getting a new selector switch, depending on the type you already have.

Re: Fan fret guitars
I've played a few and my next guitar will be fanned fret, to me it's unnatural barring chords with your finger straight on a neck, and if you want to run low tunings without using no.8 wire for the low strings it's ideal, plus it looks really cool!! But at least one of those frets is straight(ish),...

Yeah there is no notch below notch zero, sorry.Danger Mouse wrote: and yet no effect on your opinion of me... I find that oddly pleasing... although assumes you have an opinion of me.

You own one of their albums? My opinion of you has gone down one notch.

Man that looks good, especially for a tele.
Nah actually I've been thinking more and more about biting the bullet on a tele, but I just can't bring myself to like the shape of the horn.

Re: Tron VI - Gearfest 12th May 2012
Don't think I'll be making it, first weekend off in a while and spending 8 hours of it driving to Hamilton and back ain't helping my chances. Also probably have to go to Mums on Sunday which is an hour in the opposite direction.
Cheers anyway, have a good one.

Re: Pedal cable recommendations
I think I am ok from that regard because all my pedals are the same brand so all sit at the same height which I think lessens the force on them....hopefully. Like I say, I didn't actually have any problems using them. So just keep an eye on it, if one breaks a jack isn't the end of the world unless...

Re: Pedal cable recommendations
As an aside, if we were talking about a cable that was used to carry current (say in the power system) then your reasoning would be absolutely correct Sooty, as the current limit would be decided by the lowest maximum current in the path.

Re: Pedal cable recommendations
Surely a signal path can only be as good as it's weakest link. Nope. It's more about the capacitance and noise susceptance (not susceptance the electrical parameter). These are both accumulative. However capacitance makes almost no difference when it is after an adequate buffer apart from in extrem...

Re: Pedal cable recommendations
Mechanical link between two pedals means you can be putting force on the jacks of the pedals when you press one of the foot switches. I have used them without problem, but I don't any more just from looking at the movement when my weight is on one.

Re: FREE SOUNDMAN - Wellington City
Capt. Black: That makes way more sense to me, it may not be the best option for Ben in terms of promoting himself, you guys would know more than me though about that. I just think that you shouldn't hold back from doing that because your going to hurt someone who gets paid for it, if you think it wi...

Re: FREE SOUNDMAN - Wellington City
Do you advertise yourself as available to help anyones mum move for free? I essentially advertised myself out at uni to anyone in my class friends or not who wanted help with anything, meanwhile there are tutors who charged $40 an hour to the same students for help, and the tutors are mostly other ...

Re: FREE SOUNDMAN - Wellington City
can i just say this: i`m not cool with people doing this for free when there are people who rely on the money to pay the bills I never understand this, if the sound guys can't offer something that can't be had for free, then they don't deserve the money. Am I allowed to help my mum move her furnitu...

Re: Some pedals are far too good looking
I don't get it. If you are going to go to all that effort to get an analog sound, why not just use analog components. I can understand it in a multi function pedal but not so much in a single effect pedal. Because it lets you dial in the attributes of the analog components, some combinations of whi...
