The edge of break up crew are usually noisier than the noisies at Tronfests (remember those?)

You and higainer should have your own mini "It might get loud" fest! (I would definitely try to invite myself if you did)

That's awesome! I got a Silhouette 20th Anniversary for my big O (as in OMG I'm old!) birthday last year and those dudes at Musicman definitely know how to build a guitar!

Looking at the cavity cover I'm guessing yours has a piezo but cant read what the other extra controls are?

Re: Anyone bought strings off Ali Express?

Well the results are in and all of them were as fake as a politician's smile. The D'addarios looked fully legit until I entered the serial number on their website and they came up as counterfeit. I then went back and found 2 spelling mistakes buried in the internal packaging but they pass the eye te...

Re: Anyone bought strings off Ali Express?

Its likely there will be some OEM leftovers on there so some legit ones... but apart from packaging fails how else would you tell? best to just buy local, if you don't play much its not like its an expensive thing to replace ;) The Ernie Ball ones have markedly different packaging....ALL of the Ali...

Re: Anyone bought strings off Ali Express?

Yeah I get the point about buying local. The main reason for giving the cheap route a crack was that one of my boys has been getting right into playing (which is awesome) but he seems to sweat battery acid and we've been going through strings like tinfoil at a vaccine protest (which is unawesome).

Anyone bought strings off Ali Express?

I was looking on Ali Express and they have (supposedly) Ernie Ball, Elixer, and D'Addario strings on there for about 4 bucks a set. I figured that it was worth a punt at that price even if they're fake since I just play at home (and strings are strings...unless they're not). I tried a few different ...

I just put the second track up today, it's a little more guitar-heavy.

The Scumbacks that Higainer has in his Bogner oversized 2x12 are my all time favourites to date (as is that cab).

Re: Rockshop Albany - High End Guitars taken ...

How are you Dave? We had heard you'd been back in hospital. I assume you're back on deck now. Yep - just clocked up heart attack number 3. So that's a bit sh1t. But I was back working from home the next day so I am very lucky and grateful. Glad to hear that you're on the mend! I see that it's been ...
