Re: New Metallica

First listen today while working out, I enjoyed it (played it twice). Hope the rest of the album is that good/energetic. Been a long time since listening to any Metallica.

Re: Is Chorus back?

My first chorus was one of those pink peavey ones I got in the 80s with the weird switch which was shaped like half a squash ball… Probably rare, vintage and collectable now! And still ugly AF!! That looks very much like a Peavey version of my Ibanez BC9 (without looking it up) Dual oscillators, so...

Re: Is Chorus back?

Chorus got me into trying a stereo rig, as it's the only stereo pedal I had. I find it addictive once on as it makes things sound wide and turning it off takes a while to get used to again. Like Hamo I did originally use it due to Zakks rig. I still have the analog Boss CE-5 on the spares shelf due ...

New delay pedal too, that was fun. Rotary Charity ball in Rolleston. We're a rock n roll bunch out here in Rolly...

Re: NGD - again!

Woohoo, after much searching I got a guitar to get me started again. I really wanted a vintage style Strat and I was just walking past the local cashies and found this. Squier Classic Vibe 60s strat in 3TSB for a few hundies. Stoked! Now to find a nice small tube amp! That's a great deal, those thi...

Re: Slash's guitars collection

Also somewhat importantly I’m interested to see what he has on his wrist. Slash is well known to be a long time Breitling wearer but he caused a small stir in the watch world a while back when he started wearing a Rolex 116610LV ‘Hulk’. The man certainly has fine taste for days Let me know if you f...

Re: ZW Epiphone updated with Mr Glyn pickups

mine originally had the passive Hz in as well, I installed the 18/85 set a while back and to be honest while I liked the feel of the whole guitar the sound never really blew me away. Lets see how that changes now. Quite funny to think that it will now be a pretty traditional sounding LP with "...

Re: ZW Epiphone updated with Mr Glyn pickups

Awesome, loved the neck on the ZW Epi I had some years ago. Mine only had the passive HZ pickups, and they were horrible.

Got me gassing another now darn you.. anyone holding?

Re: Brutal elimination 3 way?

Matching PG guitars? Very cool, but was there a reason for two, outside of.. just cause ya can? Got the second one cheap. Needed another guitar at the time for a different tuning in a live situation. Found it really comfortable being able to switch to a guitar that was instantly familiar during a s...

Re: Valuation resources

I love it how they put the trannies down one end of the amp.. makes for a neat time carrying it when the handle is in the middle.. At least with your 50w they are a little more central under the handle.

Re: Marshall Amplification - their greatest year

I noticed after having a couple of 800s and a late jmp ( 87 I think which was an early 800) they all sounded a little different to each other but all hard to get over 1 in volume. err yes... my JMP is non MV, so got a PPIMV installed as it was insane otherwise and only really useful as a clean plat...
