Re: Similar "Am I ripping someone off?" issue

sounds pretty sweet actually.....can't think of anything it might be close to either. Good stuff, all original.

We should have a thread where ppl post small basic jam clips/demos like this for feedback & stuff. Really enjoy listening to what others get up to with their gats & comps.

Re: Clean amps...

Fender Blues Deluxe has a brilliant clean sound, and imagine you could pick one up within your budget 2nd hand. All tubes, 40W, its a loud amp and the clean sound is really nice. There is also the Fender Blues De Ville that I would imagine has a nice clean sound as well (never played with one person...

Re: Something to connect my guitar to my computer

I just plug directly in to the mac, but it sucks cause i've got some nice guitars that sound great but sound pretty awful plugged straight in, ..obviously. Also probably has something to do with the playing as well ha.

I'm thinking of investing in an Mbox interface, with firewire as apposed to usb.

Only listened to Civil War for nostalgia's sake but will check out the live versions of songs from his album soon.

Re: Slash - Solo album

The more I hear this, the more I like it. It's usually a good sign when a song gets stuck in your head and you don't mind. 8) Sure as hell cant recall any Snakepit or Velvet Revolver Song ever getting stuck in my head :D 1st snakepit album is not bad actually...some horrid tracks but i've certainly...

Re: Slash - Solo album

I'm still giving it rounds of listens before i fully judge it.....but soooooooooooo far I'm not that impressed. Yes some impressive slash-esq solos & riffs and i've stomped my foot a bit...but so far it all feels far too forced for my liking and a bit cheesy. First impressions only, I'll let it ...

Re: Adding pickup to acoustic

I'm more interested in the permanent solution, and was keen to see if anyone has an idea of a rough price range of what i can expect for the job to be done. ANyways, failed to get round to calling them today as work tends to get in the way life.

Re: Adding pickup to acoustic

Hmmmm can't imagine slash playing an acoustic :? Huh? My nickname is Slash's real name, surname 1st....Saul Hudson. :) Despite this I'm not exactly the biggest fan of him, find him some what overrated, but i've used this nickname for about a decade plus, in various different forums and what not.

Re: Adding pickup to acoustic

I had a Artec pickup with tuner installed into my 1980's Japanese Daion guitar. It was a bridge pickup with shoulder mounted control unit (the guitar shoulder) and all up it was $60 for the installation. My uncle had a split bridge and condenser neck mic installed and it was $80. Interesting, thank...

Re: Adding pickup to acoustic

I got a Fishman Neo-D for my acoustic and it's good. You just put it in your soundhole, plug it in and you're good to go... may not be what you're after. Yep I've played the guitar in question with acoustic pickups and quite like it, however this particular guitar I have a burning desire to make th...

Adding pickup to acoustic

I have an old 60s acoustic guitar that i think will sound great with a neck pickup. Any ideas how much this would cost to get a technician to do?...I've used the techs at Mojo a few times and they are great, but I find it difficult to get rough quotes from them for some reason. I hear Weta Guitars h...
