Seriously though folks, he worked at the then Mainline Music(Takapuna) for a few years back in the '90s with Frank John and Alan Lavis, a monster player as are the other two guys, possesses a good dry sense of humour, loves his gear and it's hard to prize it from him. Has a wealth of knowledge abou...

Um.. If I'd paid a box of beers equivalent for it I'd probably leave the paint job. It's a little bit cool.

Yeah, yeah, I know: Good from far, far from good.

My question is, what on earth are you doing that requires that much amp?
Downsizing.

Obviously.

Getting back to the Super Reverb: I spent a lot of time with the Super Reverb owned by Rob Magnus. He used it in the Blue Rhythm Hounds and I think the Pink Flamingoes as well.

My question is, what on earth are you doing that requires that much amp?

I don't like this freeform speculation about someone's life, even if it is designed to be a bit silly or patently outrageous. Speculating about someone's life or background is, in my view, incredibility intrusive into their life. It puts us close to the level of the online speculators regarding the...

Genuine question, is that something that happens in NZ?

Oooo.... Intriguing! I know he used to have some pro looking photos of himself up on the wall behind the counter. I wonder if he wrote one absolutely awful number 1 hit ( that he'd never admit to) and still lives off the royalties?! It's possible. He's actually a monster player when he can be bothe...

Re: That BF Super Reverb at Cadenza…..?

The rare times I've been on K road I've popped in to the shop. When asked the price of an item in there Eds reply was usually 'what do you think it's worth?' I have no idea how he stays in business. The impression I got from some of his friends is that he doesn't actually need to be in business. Oo...
