Re: Pickup recommendations for my tremonti se

Thanks everyone - keep the recommendations coming if you can - you've given me some stuff to think about but I'm definitely still undecided. I was looking at a SD jazz/JB set when I was looking at changing the pups on my Iceman and it sounds like that might be an option here but I just don't know en...

Re: Pickup recommendations for my tremonti se

1. PRS pickups have a sketchy reputation. Certain models are well hated. Not sure if those are among them. 2. I suspect the USA Tremonti pickups aren't much different in flavour than the Korean Tremonti clones. Just a bit nicer tasting. 3. Parallel importing to save a few bucks is so uncool. 4. DiM...

Re: so how much do you drive?

I've been mentally toying with the idea of adding one of a hotcake, DLS, or crunch box to my burgeoning pedal collection...but then I wonder if I really need them when I already have the Jekyll and Hyde and am on Rocky's waiting list for a bsiab. Still don't have a reverb, tuner, or a noise gate but...

Re: NPD! Jekkyl & Hyde V1

True  - but I would be guaranteed to lose that notebook as soon as I had them all down - either that or my wife would 'tidy' it and it would be gone forever! :x tidy... tidy... what is it that a womans 'tidy' is completely synonymous with a mans 'unlocatable' And what makes them think ...

Pickup recommendations for my tremonti se

Ok, I listened to everyone and left my Iceman in tact and bought a new guitar instead. I'm enjoying the tremonti a lot (though the chunkier neck has taken some getting used to) plays great, weighs heaps less than the Iceman and it sounds great through my little giant half stack. I was, however, expe...

Re: NPD! Jekkyl & Hyde V1

Had a blat with the H2O today. Chorus side sounds chorusy, echo side sounds echoy. I was having fun but it wasn't exactly rockin my socks...then I tried both sides of the J&H and both sides of the H2O on at the same time and holy crap  ! The interaction between all of the various effects ...

Re: so how much do you drive?

I'm having a drive crisis. After all my umming and ahhing, I've found that the best drive pedal I've got is my hotcake. It's always on, mostly as a fantastic crunchy punch or boosting the snot out of something else. I've been really dissatisfied with my other drives though. My big box rat just isn'...
