Re: NGD - Aria Pro II J-B'tone

Nice one. Cheers for the review, I've often stopped and looked at these as I really like the shape... never knew they were barritone. Maybe there are the same shapes in the range that arent but good to know they play nice straight out of the box. A Standard for the win! Edit: yup didn't know this e...

NGD - Aria Pro II J-B'tone

I have been looking for a baritone guitar for a few months. This pretty much scratches that itch well below my budget. This was priced at $499 at Rockshop Sylvia Park. I wasn't expecting much but I'm happy I was proved wrong. It plays on par as the Squier Affinity range in my experience. I called in...

Out of the box it looks good. But longevity of quality of item will become evident over time...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

My Artist Baritone Guitar was finally shipped to me last week but there was a wiring fault. Returned back to Artist Guitars but then they said that they had no other Artist Baritone guitars in stock so they gave back a full refund. I always wanted a baritone guitar so I was kinda bummed that I have ...

Re: Show us your whole setup....

I've replaced my Artist Tweedtone 20R with a Laney 112 PA and a cheap cab IR loader. I am happy with it after spending a lot of time gainstaging the past few weeks. I'll probably sell off my tube amp at some point this month.

I don't trust touch screens on any music equipment. Especially not on synthesizers or guitar pedals.

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?

Where abouts on the bass guitar do you guys pick/pluck?

I pick/pluck between the neck and bridge pickup (although slightly skewed towards neck) as it's the right mix of boom and definition for me.

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

My York audio IRs were bought jan 2020 so gonna say it’s likely he’s made some improvements since then. Got me curious enough to give this pack a go I think. Ah you probably got their V1 of Matchless, which I think only features 6 different mics. The KW 412 features 18 different mics so they have d...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Got me curious now, have you compared them to any other greenback IRs? I’ve got some York audio Matchless cab IR but overall I’ve preferred others for my greenback tones. I think the one I have is a mix of GB and H though, I’ve got my favourite GB 4x12 IR which has a U87 mic and 421 mix I think but...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Treated myself to a set of the best guitar cabinet IRs money can buy.

KW 412 M25-SH

4x12 Celestion M25 Greenbacks. They sound amazing. Lots of different single and multi mic mixes to choose from as well.

Re: Gear That Everybody Seems To Love But You Don't

Guitar amps, I guess? I've been playing digital modellers so much more than my actual tube guitar amp that I'm going ampless. I bought a cheap Laney 1x12 PA and have been playing my Zoom G3n through it (sounds good so far). The Zoom G3n cabinet simulations aren't that great so I've ordered a cheap c...

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

I would be happy if I stuck to my Zoom G3n for the next decade. Tone is diminishing-returns arms race for me right now. I'm happy that more and more amazing modeler tech is affordable but the YouTube hype machine can get suffocating.
