Re: Just got my TC Electronic Nova System

If it had relay channel switching and an fx loop I would be all over it. Well, it's designed to be a simple, easy alternative to the G-system, so maybe you should get one of those! I've had it on order since it was announced, from Sweetwater. Landed, w/GST, it's cost me about $1100. No it's not tru...

Just got my TC Electronic Nova System

Bye bye pedals. This thing is great. Incredible silky smooth mods, delays and 'verbs. Excellent analog programmable OD/dist sounds, all in a small, easy to use package. It absolutely adores my strat, and the Mustang is sounding hot too. Well worth checking out! http://www.tcelectronics.com/novasyste...

Re: Amp Flight Cases. Budget solution needed!

Flip, some good ideas guys! I'm thinking of getting some 5mm ply and making a basic case for the boogie. Get some hardware from jansen and do it myself. I think I need the real thing for my head, so I'm looking out for a second hand head case. In the meantime, I'm going to make some more cardboard c...

Amp Flight Cases. Budget solution needed!

Hi all. I have 2 amps, a Sovtek MIG-50 head with mesa/boogie 4x10 cab, and a G&K ML250 combo. I am now in a gigging situation where they get thrown into a van and loaded in and out. A quick inspection has shown they are getting nailed. The boogie is in a 2 layer cardboard box, because it is mint...

I would kill many, many kittens for a Ricky 330. I don't care about the fingerboard, I'm just crazy about how they sound!!

Hey all, thanks for posting. I find it funny that this is one of my most popular threads ever! I'm not trying to be a trooll or step on anyone's toes. The point of this thread was really to point out some guys who are doing a really good job, providing good service and good prices on some stuff, cre...

Thanks Bad Player for the interesting post. I can see that there are a lot of unforseen costs, but still I kind of feel that is their risk of being in business. I must say that being able to try the gear out does make a difference, and if you are buying say a guitar, it is probably worth paying some...

My theory on buying gear in New Zealand

Music retail around here really is pretty bad. The RipShop and Musicworks are overpriced and have a sometimes ecletic and/or limited range of gear. So shop local. http://www.guitarstuff.co.nz(for strings!) guitarparts.co.nz (for parts and pickups) and stompbox.co.nz (cool pedals) are all great sites...

I use 3 Korg DT-10s. (yes 3, one on electric pedalboard, one on acoustic pedalboard, and one at home for practice/setting up my guitars) I do not notice any tone suck with any of them. I used to use a Boss TU-2, but it cut the clarity of my guitar slightly. Like whoever it was said, a tuner pedal is...

My Cole Clark Fat Lady 2 isn't a solid body but it is wired for electric goodness. CC use a nifty dual input acoustic pickup setup ( Dual Input pick up is Piezo type, bridge mounted and top plate sensor) that sounds pretty damn nice. I'd love a solid body too but I don't have the dollars. :( I'v go...

Anyone played any Cole Clark electrics?

I just ordered a Stratish one from them. Hopefully it will sound as good as it looks . . .

I would like to comment that Simcha is really, really good. She fixed a small crack in the side of my beloved Cole Clark Fat Lady 2, putting aside the guitar she was working on, she got it fixed beautifully in less than 5 minutes. She asked me to come back a week later so she could check it. When I ...

You've got a TB trem? I make my own TB boxes, so could just get a boss a TB it, but I would like something cooler . . .

It has to be small to fit and i'm keen for TB.
