Re: Cable recommendations
Thanks folks. My EB cables have been OK, but the braided outer on one of them melted in a few places at an outdoor gig. I had a couple of EWI cables from Music Planet for a while that were fine- but one of them failed completely last night. The jack housing is pretty rubbish- the jack itself wiggles...

Cable recommendations
This is an old and boring subject, but what are the good cable options these days? I used to buy Freedom and Lava cables from Ryan, but the virtually all the cables I’ve bought since have been disappointingly flimsy.
What are good, solid options these days, that aren’t super expensive?

Re: Anyone Rocking Vintage Blackface?
I had a Bandmaster for a while (transitional model- BF circuit with SF panel). It was surprisingly brash in the midrange- especially upper mids.

Re: Synth Chat
Interesting, the S-1 is 3.5mm but I ended up buying a Type A 3.5mm to 5 pin din cable for that, everything else I have so far is 5 pin din thankfully... Yeah, I made a few minijack to DIN cables so I didn’t have to have an adapterfest It wouldn't kill the manufacturers to just include a mini to 5 p...

Re: Synth Chat
Was looking at one of these: https://www.cme-pro.com/midi-thru5-wc-midi-split-thru-box/ not midi powered which is a bit annoying but probably more likely to work with everything... they're $65 NZD on amazon, find another $15 worth of stuff thats eligible for free shipping and you can get both for a...

Re: Synth Chat
Poos I’m gonna need a midi thru box… Yeah, I’ve been meaning to get one of those too. You’ll like the Pro VS- The vector side of out takes a bit to get your head around, but it makes for really great, organically evolving sounds. Re: Best DAW for beginner
reaper, hands down Reaper is cool if you want a free (or cheap) DAW that has plenty of tutorials out there and supports everything and anything... This cannot be overstated. There is a huge amount of community support for Reaper, so it's a great one for a noobie. That being said, Reaper users seem ...
