They are definitely 5150s, I assume he rolls the volume right back then. But if it's miked then it will jsut be quiet and then pumped through the PA.

YEp, there's pne in Wellington Rock Shop at the moment, SX do one as do Cort, washburn used to make one as well, I banez did one when they were producing their 'lawsuit' era guitars.

Flying Vs rock, especially Gibson Vs. JAckson and washburn etc all do or at least did various V clones at one time or another, they are generally uglyu, at least IMO. I f i was an angry man i would have broken something then, thats very very cool. I like the guitar its not to hard to figure out if you know what the controls are for. I've never had it go silent on stage by flicking all the pickups off.

How does the "roller bridge" on the Red Special work? I can't give you a too detailed answer cause I'm not EXACTLY sure. But I know that it works by using a knife edge system with rollers in the bridge that would fall out when he broke, or breaks even, a string. These might give you a bit...

I picked other, cause there are two bridges I prefer, the roler system on the Original Brian May Red Special, and those top end replicas, and the floating bridge on my Burns, which stays in tune remarkably well. The locking tuners help I'd imagine.
