Re: Has anyone tried graphtech ratio tuners?

Have you heard Adrian Legg play? He has tuners that let him move between tunings at the flick of a wrist...which he does mid-song across multiple strings. I thought he used something like a D-tuna, but then I saw him live. He just turns his insanely high ratio tuners very quickly and very accuratel...

Wow, that's a cunning disguise. And very summery too. I like it :-)

I love the P90/Z90 in that guitar.

Re: Looper…is it worth spending up ?

I did a lot of research into these a few months back. I agree with the previous post 100%--the Boss RC500 is the way to go...so I also bought an Infinity. :-). And for the same reason.

Sad thing is it never turned up...I bought it off TM...grrr. So I still don't have a looper.

Re: Gold Hardware restoring ?

Has anyone restored the oxidized gold hardware on a guitar. Actually I do not think oxidized is right as gold does not tarnish or oxidize ? here examples are attached. My understanding here is that the pitting you see is oxidisation of the metal underneath the (very thin) gold plating. I don't thin...

After getting my first, I bought 2 more ;)
I stupidly traded mine, wish I still had it.

Re: Strats.

I played a Strat exclusively for 16 years, turning it from a mint example into the well worn thing I sold to Molly. I retained an American G&L Legacy that is to this day a perfect tool. It's lovely to play and if you want a Strat sound, any Strat sound, it's right there. I know what I like in a...

At that price. I'd expect the fingers as well.
Yeah, I think he would have sounded just as good playing an Epiphone

Re: Les Paul and Tele tuning stability tips?

Almost…humbuckers, shorter scale….cripple calliper. That was a lovely thing. Do you still have it? I've just watched That Pedal Shows rig rundown of Neil Finn and now I want one! I've got the 70s gold top deluxe, just need the gretsch. I could help you out with that, but the postage would be steep ...

Re: The Knopfler Auction

Incredible. Some fantastic guitars on off. But from the prices, two different people paid over 100,000 quid for an Ovation he owned. Just wow!

Re: lower output p90

Turn the volume down on the guitar and treble up on the amp. That is how P90's should be. That's what I do for years. Could never quite understand the treble bleed mod that everyone was going on about back in the previous decade. I generally set all vol and tone to 5, then adjust the amp to suit. T...

I associate the Telecaster with Ed Bickert and Bill Frisell.
So many for this one. Haggard, Paisley, Lange, Richards, Springsteen, Danny Gatton, Andy Summers...
Or indeed any member of the Hellecasters. Glad to see Lange get a namecheck at last.
