Another Family Album

Here's my lot at the moment. From left to right: Squier CV '50s with upgraded bridge. '07 Malmsteen, '79 Anniversary, Custom Shop '69, Eric Johnson, '13 Malmsteen, John Mayer. Below: cheap Indonesian Squier (daughter's) and a Custom Shop '65 I'm in the middle of refinishing. http://i1287.photobucket...

Re: 2 more PRSs! (now with family photo)

Bloody strange to see my old guitar on somebody else's sofa. I feel violated...

Not much of an iFan to be honest. It's the tie-in with iTunes that irritates.

Cheers though. Looks like I've bought slowfingers' one.

Re: 2 more PRSs!

Really? These things sure do get around. Wonder why he didn't keep it????? It was a nice contrast to his other guitars.

I'm up to nine Strats though so am hardly an advert for the benefits of a varied set-up.

Re: Digital Reverb Recommendations

I just happen to have this available for say, $125. If you're interested, PM me & I'll tell you all about it. BR.jpeg All good. Sent you a PM. Happy to take it. Thanks for all the replies. Loved the sound of that Neunaber Wet but I think it'll be way out of my price range. Cheers. Molly

Re: 2 more PRSs!

Swapped my soapbar McCarty for a EC Strat. That was a great sounding PRS. Like your three pickup one more.

What PRS did you sell?

Re: Digital Reverb Recommendations

Cheers chaps. Just needed a few names there to get me started.

What I want from it? Just a nice hall-type reverb. Just sold my THR10 because I hardly ever used it but when I did I always added reverb. Using the Splawn I always feel it's just a bit dry.

Thanks again.

Digital Reverb Recommendations

The only thing lacking in my Splawn / Strat set-up is reverb.

I need pedal suggestions / recommendations / what to avoid, thanks.

Re: Are nitrocellulose aerosols available in NZ?

Cheers chaps. My gun's a cheapie that I usually use to do the garden fence so aerosols might be better.

Re: Painting with Nitro

Can I ask what you use as a grain sealer in alder? Refinishing a '65 Strat (Custom Shop - not the real thing). Also hoping to source nitro in aerosols. I have a compressor and gun if needs be though. This is the job so far: http://www.strat-talk.com/forum/stratocaster-discussion-forum/279392-decided...

Are nitrocellulose aerosols available in NZ?

Hi. Refinishing a Custom Shop '65 Strat. Wondering if I can source nitrocellulose paint (Sea Foam Green) in NZ (preferably aerosol)? Also, now I've removed the old finish (finishes... there were three of them) and I'm down to the wood, will it have to be sealed again? If so, what should I use? Thank...
