Re: Show us your pedalboard
With the Timmy controls, what are you going for? I run mine completely open, but whenever I see pics of Timmy's on people's boards, they always seem to cut the bass and treble. No idea! I seem to find that the more gain I use, the more I have to cut them both! Sounds great with the Swart treble boo...

Re: Show us your pedalboard
My gigging board.
Probably the biggest surprise to me was the difference that the buffer made, although I don't really use the boost for much - I just use the guitar volume in the band as it gives me a little more control.

Re: The recording thread....
A bunch of cheapish mics. SM57 for the guitar amps. A pair of NT55s for stereo acoustic, or sometimes just one. A Rode NT1a for vox. This is the weak link - too sibilant for me. Focusrite Forte - lovely interface. Great preamps. Sonar 8 with all the stock plugins. Or... for most of my demos - an iP...

Yeah, it does sound good. With the Tele too. A great Pop Staples sound. You've got the Princeton rebuild though , and that sounds glorious.StrummersOfThunder wrote:MattH wrote:
Rather envious of that little vibro champ! Bet that sounds great. Well matched to the tele too.

Re: Show us your whole setup....
Thanks. Yeah, it's a lot of fun, and I've tried to be relatively sensible with my purchases. I've never picked up a bargain (except the Tele - 500 quid back in the UK about ten years ago), but am happy to pay for nice gear. The amp's a Lil Elvis. Bought it a couple of years back from a guy on here. ...

Re: Show us your whole setup....
I don't actually need most of this stuff - nowhere near a good enough guitarist to warrant it. Anyway, here's some of my stuff. In fairness, I do gig with the Martin, the 335 and the 65 Amps, and record with the Tele and the Vibro Champ (both '78s). Also have an '81 squareneck Dobro and a surprising...

Hey - this is great! What's the story? Did you find a chassis and rebuild? Would love to know more on how you put this together. Got a blog or anything?

Re: What are you gassing for?
Had a Space. Lots of fun but eventually found it overkill. Most of the presets should have been called "single note ambient shoegaze". There's one on TM that keeps changing hands - so keep an eye out for it. Got a Neunaber Wet and a Mr Springgy - much easier to control. SG or Les Paul J45 ...

Marshall Class 5
Anyone got one of these? How Marshall-y are they? How do they compare with the Blackstar HT5, for example? Much in it?
