Hate it. But only because the pickguard screws have the wrong aging for that colour.

Re: YouTube goodness
Far be it from me to be critical of someone else's ropey playing, but well... I don't know what else to say. You need to hear it for yourself really. I thought it was a one man band thing, but it's a GuitarCenter demo. The comments are fairly non-compromising... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_RuP...

Isbell's got it, man. He really has. Check out his live versions of Whipping Post and Into the Mystic. He's a great songwriter too. Yeah - he's amazing. Southeastern especially. Been following him since his DBT days. The Dirty South was my favourite for the longest time, and it was always his tunes...

New Satch! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXWTPgCrbvg That was pretty meh. I am, or probably rather I was at least a huge Satch fan, but he ran out of ideas some time ago and this is a good example of that. I always come back to this: Where's the song? I always reckon these guys need a platform. O...

Re: Planet of the Dead
My band did a thing! https://planetofthedead.bandcamp.com/album/fear-of-a-dead-planet We'll chuck it on Spotify eventually, but it cost a whole lot of money, so any contributions greatly appeciated! Warning, it is heavy and primitive. If you're looking for impressive guitar playing, this isn't that...

Spirit of Eden is the benchmark for pretty much anything when my band writes and record. Hollis was incredible.

Schlonky = bad. Like, actually bad, not Michael Jackson bad.WellyBlues wrote:Schlonky? I'm an older person, i don't know if that's good or bad.
P90s are great.
Was really surprised at how bad. It was mostly set up, but the pick ups were harsh as.

Re: Show Us Your Guitar
Tried a few Telecasters in the RS in New Plymouth today. There was a $3K US Pro which was schlonky as. Then I found a Jap in Daphne Blue with a P90 in the neck today.
Never had a go on a P90 in a Tele before. Big fun!
