I find it hard to sing while sitting. The sound system at the Casino is worth over $1million, and the lighting about half that. Incredible to be part of.alanp wrote:That looks dead professional (Our banjo player sits like that.)

Melbourne Casino. 60s Tribute Show.
I had to sit as I dislocated my shoulder a couple of weeks before. Managed to get through with strapping my arm to my body and bulk doses of Codeine.

Re: Tech 21 Character Series - Review now up on Pg2
I too thought the Liverpool sounded best. Wanted to love the Blonde, but it sounded a bit muddy. Wonder if it would have sounded better with single coils? Fantastic with SC's, and with humbuckers you have to boost the mids and highs a bit until it cuts through the mix, have the character about 12 o...

Re: Tech 21 Character Series - dark Blonde?
Ah. Using a very clean platform, I don't think it should be a problem. The Tech 21 guys have stated that the speaker sim on/off is nothing more than a high frequency roll-off. Many people don't believe them, but it sounds about right to me. I have found that I just kept the speaker sim on regardles...

Tony, I have a spare stack of dozens of 90 degree patch cables from the many incarnations of my pedal board. Work out how many 12" and 6" ones you need, PM me, and I'll work out a sharp $ deal for you bro.

The Modtone is a great-souding warm little pedal that I loved very much until I got a Lovepedal trem.

Re: Pro Fex 2 help
I did the batter-less mod and put in Burr Brown chips (warm sound!) a few years ago and now it's better than ever. Email Ken Fox in the States http://www.foxvintageamps.com/classic_green_006.htm You can pay through PayPal, he's cheap and quick, and your ProFex will be great for another 20 years. :)

Re: Brass Vs Steel strat trem blocks
I put brass blcoks in all my Strats now. I've had custom made ones by AJF Guitars in Nelson, and the tonal difference in sustained notes is enhanced in the high mids. I find they work best with vintage pickups - 57/62s being the best for shimmering, glassy ringing chords.

Re: RADIOHEAD
Everything since has been pure sonic genius. Bands like them are taking music to unseen places and levels of consciousness that have been unexplored in popular music since the Beatles last took acid.
