Could be keen, can I give it a few days? I'd rather have money at the moment, but would love to try a BE in the RM-100. I just know I'm going to end up buying a synergy rack though :(

Re: The NZG MTS Thread

Anyone after some stock modules? got a Blackface, Recto and SL+ available. $150 each or $400 for all 3.

Definitely very mixed reviews here, but his work on my guitars was exceptional.

Re: The NZG MTS Thread

Replying so I remember to track this thread. Really interested in any mods people are doing. Currently running an RM100 with these modules available - Randall Clean, Randall Recto, Randall SL+, Randall Blackface, Jaded Faith Mark X, Salvation Mods JJ Dirt, Salvation Mods Dreadplate, Salvation Mods L...

Re: Anyone bias their own amp...or best to leave it to a professional?

I've biased my Sovtek Mig 100 myself before (bit fiddly), and my (ex) Bogner Uberschall (really easy - external test points/pots). Easy enough, but as mentioned, lots of large voltages/currents hanging around, gotta be safe.

Re: Pedal DC jack/inputs questions...

1. Yeah, you don't wanna use a metal jack in that situation. 2. Depends on the jack. got a link/photo? it's probably switchable stereo, so some of the contacts may connect when plugged in, or connect when unplugged. Good to know which way round. If you've got a multimeter, you should be able to sort...

Re: New MTS gear day

Definitely looks homebrewable, would be cool if they sold DIY kits where you could put your own circuit board in :) Yeah, the circuits aren't particularly complicated. The modders (Salvation / Jaded Faith etc) tended to goop their stuff which sucks when you want to go in and change something. Syner...

Re: New MTS gear day

Does anyone here have experience with the RM100 Head? This could be a new fun rabbithole... Yep, I have one, it's my main amp. A few quirks, but solid. It's generally worth replacing the fan (it's quite noisy), the effects loop (both parallel and series) is line level, so make sure anything you pla...

Re: New MTS gear day

Moliere, I'd been interested to know whether you rate the SL+ as a hot Marshall unit. I was pleasantly surprised, since it's a stock module. While I like the JJ Dirt a bit better for the stuff I'm doing, the SL+ could certainly find it's way on a bunch of tracks. Probably my favourite of the stock ...

Was that in a custom rack case? If so, it would be my band mate. Can't imagine there's heaps in the country.
